WASHINGTON DC: The renowned Lamborghini Diablo VT roadster, custom-ordered by Donald Trump, is reportedly headed for auction.

In 1995, the then 77-year-old former president was captured in a photoshoot, flaunting his luxury car at a gas station.

Fast forward over two decades, this unique Diablo is ready to be auctioned by Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, Arizona, to the highest bidder.

This auction presents a rare opportunity to acquire a piece of both automotive and presidential history, as the Diablo even boasts a "Donald Trump 1997 Diablo" plaque on its door.

Since Trump let go of it in 2002, the Diablo, with only 15,431 miles on its odometer, has changed hands twice.

Barrett-Jackson to auction Trump's Diablo on Jan 27

Barrett-Jackson is set to present Trump's Diablo to collectors on January 27.

The auction house has not provided a pre-sale guide price for the iconic nineties supercar, but its value can be inferred from its last sale over seven years ago.

The vendor reportedly purchased the Lamborghini for $460,000. Interestingly, the sale occurred on eBay in September 2016, just four months before Trump's presidential term commenced.

Given these circumstances, it is expected that Trump's coveted Italian vehicle will surpass its previous sale price at the upcoming auction, per Daily Mail.

This distinctive Diablo stands out as it was custom-ordered by Trump, owing to his special rapport with Lamborghini, which lent him some Diablos for promotional activities.

The car, ordered brand new, boasts personalized features not available in other models sold that year. A plaque reading 'Donald Trump 1997 Diablo' adorns the door, as per Barrett-Jackson.

The Diablo is powered by a centrally mounted 5.7-liter 48-valve V12 engine, delivering 492hp at 7,000 rpm and 430 ft/lbs of torque via a 5-speed manual transmission and all-wheel-drive system.

Its Viscous Traction (VT) system diverts torque to the front wheels when necessary, ensuring superior traction and enabling the car to accelerate to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 202 mph.

The sale package includes the car's manuals/books, two tool kits, and a car cover, per The Sun
