JUPITER ISLAND, FLORIDA: Megyn Kelly slammed golf legend Tiger Woods for what she called a “douche move” after he called President Trump right after his DUI car crash in Jupiter, Florida.

Kelly called out Woods for using his connections to try and dodge trouble while police were still at the scene of the accident.

Kelly criticizes bodycam footage of Woods’ call to Trump

On the Friday, April 3, episode of ‘The Megyn Kelly Show,’ Kelly discussed the newly surfaced bodycam footage from the scene of Woods’ March 27 arrest.

She noted that the golf star appeared to reach out to the president while officers were actively investigating the crash site.

Looking at the optics of the situation, Kelly remarked that "Tiger didn’t kick things off on a good note," specifically highlighting that Woods placed the call "as soon as he rolled the car and got out of it while the cops were there."

Kelly suspects Woods called Trump to avoid legal mess

Kelly was blunt about why she believes Woods made the call, suggesting it was an attempt to find a way out of the legal mess.

She argued that the golfer was likely looking for help to manage both a “PR disaster and potentially a legal one.”

Discussing his motivations, Kelly stated, “I think it’s very clear he called to try to get out of this somehow.”

While she admitted this was her own “supposition,” she questioned the logic of the move, asking, “but why the hell?”

It is to be noted that the video footage obtained by TMZ showed Woods telling officers, “Yeah, I was just talking to the president.”

Kelly blasts Woods’ pattern of reckless behavior

The host also argued that the situation highlights how some people receive special treatment compared to regular people.

Kelly claimed that if she had been in the same position, “rolling a vehicle” with her “eyes dilated,” the police would have handled her much differently.

She remarked that “the whole thing has got privilege written all over it.”

To Kelly, this incident is part of a broader pattern of behaviour, given Woods’ previous driving offenses in 2017 and 2021.

She concluded by wondering if this was a habit for the athlete, asking, “What other favors did he call in on other potential accidents?”

It is to be noted that Woods now faces charges for DUI with property damage and refusing to submit to a chemical test.
