MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: During a recent interview on MSNBC with Rachel Maddow, E Jean Carroll discussed her plans for the $83.3 million she was awarded in her defamation suit against former President Donald Trump.

Despite previously indicating her intention to use the payment to assist other victims, Carroll appeared more self-oriented during the course of her MSNBC appearance, according to a report by Daily Mail.

During their conversation, MSNBC host Maddow asked Carroll, "You've talked about using some of Trump's money that you're about to get to help shore up women's rights. Do you know what that might be, what that might look like?"

The writer responded, "Yes, Rachel, yes! I had such great ideas. For all the good I'm going to do with this money. First thing, Rachel, you and I are going to go shopping. We're going to get completely new wardrobes, new shoes, a motorcycle for Crowley, new fishing rod for Robbie(Roberta Kaplan)."

She continued, "Rachel, what do you want? Penthouse? It's yours, Rachel! Penthouse and France? You want France? You want to go fishing in France?"

Her legal counsel, Shawn Crowley, swiftly interjected and clarified, "That's a joke!"

Carroll expressed high regard for her two lawyers who appeared alongside her in the MSNBC interview. Despite the fact that her attorneys demanded only one-third of what the jury had awarded, she commended them for their efforts in the case.

"We've planted our flag," claimed the writer, adding, "We've made a statement that things are going to be different, that there's going to be a new way of doing things in this country because of this indestructible team of lawyers. I feel this bodes well for the future."

On Monday, January 29, the former columnist for Elle Magazine revealed on ABC's ‘Good Morning America’ that she plans on spending the money by purchasing "something Donald Trump hates."

"If it'll cause him pain for me to give money to certain things, that's my intent," noted Carroll, implying that she would create a "fund for the women who have been sexually assaulted by Donald Trump."

E Jean Carroll says she was 'terrified' about facing Donald Trump in court

"He is like a walrus snorting, like a rhino flopping his hands, he is not there, that was the surprising thing to me," shared Carroll on the MSNBC interview.

She revealed, "I was terrified, I was just a bag of sweating corpuscles as we prepared for trial, and three or four days before trial I had an actual breakdown. I lost my ability to speak and I couldn't go on that's how frightened I was."

"But oddly I looked out and he was nothing," expressed the writer, adding, "He was a phantom. It was the people around him who were giving him power, he himself was nothing."

"It was an astonishing discovery for me; we don't need to be afraid of him," asserted Carroll.

Internet shreds E Jean Carroll for joking about going shopping with the $83.3 million she received in damages

Soon after Carroll's off-the-mark remarks about going shopping that she made during the MSNBC interview came to light, netizens couldn't help but call her out.

One remarked, "Oh wow, E. Jean Carroll won $83 million from Donald Trump and all she can think about is shopping. Because, you know, materialism is the most important thing in the world. And let's not forget that her lawyer looked totally embarrassed by her answer."

They added, "And of course, let's ignore the fact that this was a golden opportunity for Carroll to use her winnings to make a difference in the world."

A person said, "Trump wasn’t able to show the jury how nuts this lady is," and someone else mentioned, "She will never get a dime."
