LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Comedian Eddie Griffin recently gave his two cents on the 2024 presidential election—showering praise on former president Donald Trump for his clear promises to the Black community while slamming Democrats for not earning his vote.

In a video posted to his YouTube channel, Griffin discussed his views on the Democratic National Convention that just wrapped up. The comic fumed at the speeches made by Democrat stalwarts like former president Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama.

Eddie Griffin lashes out at DNC speakers, praises Donald Trump

Eddie Griffin did not hold back in his criticism of the DNC. He pointed out how the Democrats brought out their "heavyweights" to speak at the convention. “Breaking news, y’all. Breaking news,” Griffin said. “DNC threw a jammy last night, they had the heavyweights came out – you know, Michelle, Barack, Bernie, they brought all the guns to the party.”

Griffin was unmoved by their speeches. He did acknowledge former president Obama’s oratory skills and called him “smooth,” but said he still did not trust anything that was said, Breitbart reported.

“They still ain’t said what the f**k they gone do for us,” Griffin continued. “All they telling about is how great America is. How the f**k is it great? Everybody broke, homeless, and motherf***er losing their houses, can’t afford houses no more, you got to rent ’cause the motherf***ing Black Rock and bought up all the houses, but these black motherf***ers they done brought in got everybody all hyped. Ooooh wee, they brought out the big guns, yes they did, they brought them motherf***ers out. But, they still ain’t cop my vote. I ain’t no sucker."

On the other hand, Griffin had some surprising praise for Donald Trump. He pointed out that Trump had explicitly laid out his plans for the Black community, unlike the Democrats. "What the f**k are y’all gone do for ni**as? Y’all ain’t said that part. Now, Donald to his credit, that motherf***er said what he gone do for ni**as," Griffin said.

Celebrities voice disillusionment with DNC

Eddie Griffin is not alone. Several other celebrities who previously supported the Democratic Party have voiced similar disillusionment. Amber Rose, for instance, surprised many by posing for a picture with Donald and Melania Trump. This was a major step for Rose, who had previously called Trump a “f**ing idiot” in a 2016 New York Magazine interview.

Cardi B, another outspoken celebrity, confirmed in a Rolling Stone interview that she would not vote for President Joe Biden due to his support for funding ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and the Israel-Hamas war. "America don’t pay for endless wars for countries that have been going through s*** for a very long time," the rapper fumed.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson also shared his regrets about endorsing Biden in 2020, telling 'Fox & Friends' host Will Cain that his endorsement caused “division.”

Similarly, rapper Macklemore indicated that he would not support Biden in the 2024 election. In a song empathizing with anti-war protesters at Columbia University, Macklemore rapped, “The blood is on your hands, Biden, we can see it all/And f**k no, I’m not voting for you in the fall.”

Meanwhile, comedian Michael Rapaport announced he would not vote for Biden because the President paused weapon shipments to Israel during a crucial moment in the conflict, Forbes reported.
