COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA: An 11-year-old girl, whose name has not been released, was arrested in Florida after she allegedly brought a box cutter to her elementary school, and held it up to her classmate's neck, and threatened to kill him.

The student was taken into custody on Thursday, January 11 and charged with one count of aggravated battery and one count of possession of a weapon on school property, as per Miami Herald

What did the girl do?

According to a press release from the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, deputies on January 11 responded to a 911 call from Manatee Elementary School after a student reported being threatened by one of his classmates.

When the sheriff's detectives got to the school which is situated in the 1800 block of Manatee Road in Naples, roughly 100 miles west of Miami, they spoke with the accused attacker and victim about what happened.

The victim allegedly told police that the other student “approached him from behind in the school cafeteria and poked him in the neck with the knife several times while whispering a threat", as per the press release.

'I will kill you'

Security camera footage from the school cafeteria was made available to detectives, and they claimed that this material supported the victim's version of events.

The victim's version of events is also purportedly corroborated by a Youth Relations deputy. After searching the accused attacker, the Youth Relations deputy found a box cutter that she had "concealed in her waistband," according to deputies.

An arrest report obtained by Sarasota, Florida ABC affiliate WWSB provided some additional details about the incident as per Law and Crime.

According to the report, when the 11-year-old suspect “poked” the victim in the neck with the box cutter, she also repeatedly whispered, “I will kill you.”

The victim allegedly tried to leave the cafeteria after their first encounter, but the suspect allegedly pursued him and stopped him by pushing him against a window while she was still holding the weapon.
