WASHINGTON, DC: Elon Musk was stunned when he actually saw "Trump Derangement Syndrome" (TDS) in action.

During a joint interview with President Donald Trump and Sean Hannity this weekend, the Tesla CEO shared the moment he realized that TDS is very real—and the reaction he witnessed was rather unhinged.

If you ask any die-hard Trump supporter, they’ve got stories for days about people completely losing it at the mere mention of Trump’s name. But Musk wasn’t deep in the political trenches until fairly recently. And when he saw it for himself, it was like stepping into an alternate reality.

Elon Walks recalls how he accidentally blew up a dinner party

Elon Musk recounted how he was casually chatting with people at a friend’s dinner party when he happened to mention Trump’s name. “I happened to mention the president’s name, and it was like they got shot with a dart in the jugular that contained like methamphetamine and rabies,” he recalled.

Musk even mimicked their crazed reactions, as if they had been electrocuted by the sheer sound of the word Trump. “They’ve become completely irrational,” he told Hannity, shaking his head.

While Musk was recounting his experience, Trump was right there next to him, loving every second of it. The President — who has witnessed plenty of TDS meltdowns firsthand — was cracking up nearly throughout the segment.

Meanwhile, several Trump supporters on social media resonated with Musk's hilarious commentary.

"Every Trump supporter can tell similar tales of TDS-wracked individuals going berserk and frothing at the mouth..." one social media user posted on X.

"We’ve all gotten that reaction at one time or another. Sometimes I foot just for fun. TDS is very debilitating," another wrote.

"It's absolutely true! They go completely irrational. As more fraud is revealed, their irrationality goes even deeper," one person chimed in.

"I’ve had this experience also. You can’t even mention Trump’s name in a neutral context. Just the use of Trump’s name triggers them, even if you’re just making a factual statement," someone else shared.

"Yep. That's not hyperbole! I've had that same experience. It's almost like they have been programmed to go berserk when they hear the word Trump," a comment read.

"One of my sisters started foaming at the mouth. Literally, I just asked a very well-thought-out question trying to figure out why she hated him so much, and she just went completely ballistic. Then, because I asked, all my siblings quit relating to me. almost 5 years now," another individual added.

Elon Musk and Donald Trump are on a mission

Beyond the 'TDS' talk, Elon Musk and Donald Trump sat down for a major discussion at the White House last week. Hannity's interview reportedly covered everything, from the Department of Government Efficiency’s (DOGE) efforts to Trump’s first 100 days back in office.

The DOGE leader and the 47th president recently took questions in the Oval Office, diving into their mission to cut "waste, fraud, and abuse" at the federal level.

DOGE has already gone after the US Agency for International Development (USAID), the Department of Health and Human Services, and the Department of Education.

Meanwhile, Trump is thinking even bigger. He revealed to Hannity that he’s instructed Musk to also look into the Pentagon, especially since it hasn’t passed an audit in years, Fox News reported.
