AUSTIN, TEXAS: Elon Musk shocked everyone as he reshared President Donald Trump's Truth Social post on the Los Angeles protests, signalling a possible thaw in their ongoing feud.

This came days after the Tesla CEO and the POTUS got into a bitter war of words after Musk criticized the administration's "big, beautiful bill" last week.

Elon Musk shares Donald Trump's post on Los Angeles leaders failing to manage protesters

In the Truth Social post, Donald Trump hit out at California Governor Gavin Newsom, mockingly referring to him as "Newscum", and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass for failing to manage the protesters.

The president also asked them to apologize to the people for doing "a horrible job."

"Governor Gavin Newscum and Mayor Bass should apologize to the people of Los Angeles for the absolutely horrible job that they have done, and this now includes the ongoing LA riots. These are not protesters; they are troublemakers and insurrectionists. Remember, No Masks!" the Truth Social post read.

Los Angeles witnessed intense clashes between the security forces and protesters on Sunday, June 8, after Trump deployed 2,000 National Guard troops for the first time since the 1992 LA riots.

Trump invoked the special federal Title 10 authority, which lets the president take control of National Guard troops.

Following this, Newsom slammed the MAGA leader for unlawfully deploying the National Guard and said that it was the responsibility of the state governor. He called it a serious violation of California's rights, as reported by The Guardian.

"I have formally requested the Trump Administration rescind their unlawful deployment of troops in Los Angeles county and return them to my command. We didn’t have a problem until Trump got involved," Newsom wrote in an X (formerly Twitter) post.

He added, "This is a serious breach of state sovereignty — inflaming tensions while pulling resources from where they’re actually needed. Rescind the order. Return control to California."

Musk sharing Trump's post was a surprise for many, considering the heated feud between the two, which started last week.

Amid their feud, the former DOGE head also conducted a poll on his social media platform X about the formation of a new political party called the America Party, which showed 80 percent of the people agreeing with the idea.

Internet asks if everything is back to normal between Donald Trump and Elon Musk

As expected, netizens flocked to react after Elon Musk reshared Donald Trump's Truth Social post following their messy feud last week. Some felt this was a signal that they were back to being BFFs.

A person wrote, "Is the gang getting back together," while someone else inquired, "You jumping back on the Trump Train?"

"Please be friends again," an individual urged, while one more questioned, "Best Friends again?"

A person who was certain that Trump and Musk had patched up wrote, "We are back. BFF," and another echoed, "I’m so happy you two made up. 🥰."
