Epstein's brother clarifies 'Bubba' is not Bill Clinton in viral Trump email
WASHINGTON, DC: Disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein's brother, Mark Epstein, clarified that "Bubba," mentioned in his infamous email exchange with his brother, is not former President Bill Clinton.
Newly released emails show Mark telling his brother in 2018 to ask former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon whether Russian President Vladimir Putin had inappropriate pictures of President Donald Trump and "Bubba."
Mark Epstein confirms 'Bubba' is 'a private individual who is not a public figure'
As the email went viral, internet users quickly speculated that "Bubba," a nickname often associated with Bill Clinton, was referring to the former President.
Mark Epstein soon released a statement about the exchange. He told The Advocate on Sunday, November 16, "They were simply part of a humorous private exchange between two brothers and were never meant for public release or to be interpreted as serious remarks."
"For the avoidance of doubt, the reference to ‘Bubba’ in this correspondence is not, in any way, a reference to former President Bill Clinton," he added.
Ali Clark, a representative for Mark, confirmed that "Bubba" is "a private individual who is not a public figure." Clark also said that attempts to decipher the identity of "Bubba" misrepresent both the purpose and tone of the original correspondence.
A spokesperson added that misinterpretations of formal language or nicknames in email exchanges distract from "the serious questions that remain unanswered."
In the back-and-forth between Jeffrey and Mark Epstein, made public by Congress as part of a 26,000-page document obtained from Epstein's estate, Mark wrote, "Ask him if Putin has the photos of Trump blowing Bubba?"
Jeffrey Epstein replied, "And I thought I had tsuris." Mark responded, "You and your boy Donnie can make a remake of the movie Get Hard."
Bill Clinton responds as Trump orders DOJ to probe Epstein ties
Bill Clinton’s spokesperson, Angel Urena, addressed renewed scrutiny regarding the former President’s past association with Jeffrey Epstein.
The statement came after President Trump directed Attorney General Pam Bondi and the Justice Department to investigate Epstein's ties to Clinton, Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, venture capitalist Reid Hoffman, and JP Morgan Chase.
"Bill Clinton had no involvement and was unaware of any wrongdoing," Urena said, adding that everything else is simply “noise meant to distract from election losses, backfiring shutdowns, and who knows what else.”

Meanwhile, Trump claimed on November 14, "He never visited Epstein's infamous island, Little Saint James, but former President Bill Clinton visited the island 28 times."
However, the newly released emails show Epstein dismissed a victim’s claims about Clinton being on the island. He wrote, "Clinton was NEVER EVER there, never," noting that this "punches a hole" in the victim’s allegations against Alan Dershowitz and Andrew.

Clinton has faced scrutiny for broader ties to Epstein, including visits to the White House by Epstein and trips on Epstein’s private jet. In 2019, a spokesperson stated, "President Clinton knows nothing about the terrible crimes Jeffrey Epstein pleaded guilty to in Florida, or those he has been recently charged with in New York."
