MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: The federal corruption investigation into New York City Mayor Eric Adams' campaign fundraising is currently under review by a grand jury, according to the New York Post.

Additionally, it has been disclosed that an individual associated with the Democratic mayor has recently been served a subpoena in connection with the investigation.

The spokesperson stated, “City Hall has said since the beginning that it will cooperate fully with this review — and it has by making individuals available to discuss any details necessary in order to reach a just and timely conclusion.”

To date, Mayor Adams has not faced any allegations of misconduct. Nonetheless, his campaign has been under scrutiny since November, when federal prosecutors initiated an inquiry into claims that the Turkish government had unlawfully channeled funds into the mayor’s campaign.

Additionally, the residence of Brianna Suggs, a key fundraiser for Mayor Eric Adams’ campaign, was also subject to a search.

The authorities were reportedly seeking evidence related to the misappropriation of federal funds, wire fraud, theft conspiracy, and conspiracy to commit wire fraud, as delineated in a search warrant.
