WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump's health has been the topic of discussion, especially after he was recently spotted with swollen ankles and bruise marks on his hands. He also went missing in action for a few days, raising more speculation about his health.

Now, recently, posts claiming that first lady Melania Trump was spotted at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center amid rumors of Trump's ill health emerged online. But is there any truth to them? Let us find out below.

Claim: Melania Trump was at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center

On Monday, September 1, a rumor circulated across social media platform X (formerly Twitter) claiming that Melania Trump was at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center amid rumors of POTUS' ill health.

An X user wrote in a post, "Melania Trump apparently was just spotted at Walter Reed recently, There’s a chance."

Meanwhile, another X user shared a map image of the medical center and wrote in the caption, "Why are the roads around Walter Reed closed?"

Similarly, a Thread user wrote, "Went to Walter Reed on Thursday to be monitored in Labor/Delivery because I’m very pregnant. Mid being monitored in triage guess who showed up for an unscheduled 'tour' of L&D? Melania Trump. Even the staff was confused as to why she was there."

This comes amid a morbid social media frenzy questioning whether "Donald Trump had died."

Fact Check: False, no credible evidence to back the viral claim

The claims made in the online posts are false, as there is no credible evidence to prove that the first lady was at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center recently.

There has been no such official statement by the White House, nor a search on search engines, such as Google, showed any credible results that Melania Trump was at the medical center.

Moreover, the POTUS put all rumours about his absence to rest on Sunday by sharing a new post on his Truth Social account.

The post had a photo of himself shaking hands with Former American football coach Jon Gruden, and captioned it, "Great playing Golf with Jon Gruden - A really nice guy, and true character!"

Trump quashes health concerns with defiant message

Donald Trump addressed mounting health rumors in a post on Truth Social amid growing speculation over his recent absence from public events.

He took to the social media platform on Sunday and wrote, "NEVER FELT BETTER IN MY LIFE."

Moreover, the message also had an unexpected brag, "Also, DC IS A CRIME FREE ZONE!" as he referred to a recent federal move giving the White House authority over the DC Metropolitan Police Department.

The president's post came after a quiet few days where he spent time golfing at his Virginia resort, where his absence from public eye fueled conspiracy theories and morbid rumors.

Regarding the bruises on Trump's hand, his physician, Dr Sean Barbabella, released a statement explaining that the discoloration was "consistent with minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshaking and the use of aspirin, which is taken as part of a standard cardiovascular prevention regimen."
