WASHINGTON, DC: Earlier this month, social media went absolutely nuts over videos allegedly showing President Donald Trump’s youngest son Barron belting out tunes on 'America’s Got Talent'.

A TikTok post featuring the supposed performance racked up nearly 500,000+ views at the time of publication. "Barron Trump singing on America's Got Talent," read the caption.

The hype didn’t stop there - clips started popping up all over X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and YouTube. People actually believed that the usually private and elusive Barron had stepped onto the 'AGT' stage and sang praises of his father.

However, it was all fake. The videos were AI-generated, fooling thousands of people into thinking Barron had suddenly gone from first son to budding pop sensation.

Truth about Barron Trump's 'AGT' act: AI clues and no media coverage

A quick Google search by Snopes found that no major news outlets reported on Barron’s supposed TV debut—because if the son of a former US president had actually auditioned for 'AGT', it would have dominated the news cycle.

Plus, the videos themselves had obvious red flags - unnatural lip movements, glitchy facial expressions, and even a bizarre wardrobe malfunction where Barron’s hand seemed to disappear into a nonexistent pocket.

Fact-checking outlet LeadStories dug deeper and pointed out even more AI weirdness. It noted how the podium mysteriously changed shape mid-performance, steps behind the podium kept appearing and disappearing, a microphone magically materialized out of thin air—and the bizarre, unreadable sign above the podium was a dead giveaway.

Interestingly, some of these viral videos didn’t even try to hide the fact that they were AI creations. One YouTube video description spelled it out clearly: "This song was created with the help of A.I. technology and does not represent the thoughts or attitudes of the imitated artists in any way."

Another TikTok clip labeled itself as an "AI Cover," with an extra tag stating: "Creator labeled as AI-generated."

Meanwhile, another YouTube video hyped up the fake performance: "Barron Trump, Donald Trump, and Elon Musk surprise everyone with a special performance on America’s Got Talent. The trio delivers an exciting and unexpected moment, keeping the audience captivated. Don’t miss this unique performance!"

However, the fine print clarified that it was AI: "This video may utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to generate content, including but not limited to voice, images, animations, and text. All AI-generated content is intended solely for entertainment, illustration, or informational purposes and does not represent the official opinions or statements of any individual or organization. Trump fans still fell for Barron's fake 'AGT' video

But despite these disclaimers, plenty of fans were completely fooled and weren’t shy about sharing their admiration.

"God bless you, Barron, keep moving forward," one posted in the comments section.

"Congrats Barron, you are wonderful," another wrote.

"Very beautiful song for me Dear Barron, You, Your Dear Father, and Dear Elon Musk are so wonderful guys for me," someone else gushed.

"You have a great voice and I love the song," read a comment.

"May you be very successful in your career as a singer. And why not the next President..." another offered.

This isn’t even the first time AI-generated Barron Trump content has gone viral online. Back in December, social media saw another wave of AI-generated music videos where Barron was digitally made to “sing” songs about supporting his father.
