The claim spread in the form of a screenshot appearing to show a post by the Turning Point USA co-founder in 2020 on X, back then known as Twitter, stating, “Democrats will steal this election with mail-in voter fraud if we don't immediately pass mandatory, nationwide voter ID.”

The screenshot has been amplified by several accounts on Facebook and X, with many linking it to the ongoing controversies surrounding the alleged election rigging in the California primaries.

Many are sharing the screenshot, believing it to be authentic, while a few others have called it fake, and some remain skeptical and have questioned its authenticity.

Fact Check: Charlie Kirk did tweet about voter fraud and Democrats attempting to steal an election

The screenshot is authentic as the tweet does exist on Kirk’s X handle, posted in September 2020. This has been confirmed by a search on his X handle that matches the text in the viral screenshot.

However, the original tweet cannot be seen as a warning as claimed by netizens; rather, it appears to be a criticism of the Democrats and concerns about election integrity at the time.



The tweet resurfaced after an election interference scandal rocked California after a voting site was vandalized on June 1, 2026, and burned mail-in ballots were discovered inside a ballot drop box. 

The separate incidents occurred simultaneously across two major population hubs, triggering immediate law enforcement investigations and raising renewed concerns regarding the security of the voting system. 

Local officials have labeled the attacks serious and renewed strict warnings that any attempt to interfere with the voting process will carry severe criminal penalties.

President Donald Trump blasted California’s slow primary vote count as "rigged" during a stop in Wisconsin. 

Speaking at an agriculture policy roundtable, Trump tore into California for taking days to report results from this week’s primary elections. 

“Can you imagine?” the president asked the room. “It’s four days, and they still aren’t even close to telling you who won. You know why? Because they’re rigging the election, that’s why.” 

“I’m not a big fan of Spain, to be honest with you; it’s gone very far left, but they had an election,” he said. “Similar size to the state of California, a little larger, actually, and every vote was in by 10 o’clock in the evening and counted.” 

Accusing Democrats directly, Trump wrote in a Truth Social post, "They are trying to STEAL THE GOVERNOR OF CALIFORNIA PRIMARY, AND THE MAYOR OF LOS ANGELES, PRIMARY, AWAY FROM TWO GREAT REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES. Here we go with the very late and massive numbers of MAIL IN BALLOTS."
