SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA: Amid the speculations surrounding alleged election rigging in California, a rumor has been circulating on social media platforms claiming that California Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi paid undocumented immigrants to vote multiple times in the California primary election, sparking concerns.

Let us analyse and fact-check the claim.

Claim: Nancy Pelosi paid illegals to vote multiple times in California

According to a post on X, Pelosi was caught paying undocumented immigrants thousands to vote multiple times in California.

The post claims that an FEC investigation found tens of thousands of dollars in cash funneled straight from a Nancy Pelosi LLC to illegals for voting unlawfully.

It further alleged that Pelosi’s company pays drivers to round up non-citizens, hand them a name and date of birth, and send them to multiple precincts, according to an FBI informant.

The post concluded by stating that federal authorities are investigating the matter and that Pelosi's attorneys have been notified about potential subpoenas.

Fact Check: No official statements or documents to substantiate the claim

Although there are probes into election irregularities in California, the claim is not true, as there is no credible evidence to support it.

A search on Google for the keywords ‘Pelosi paid illegal immigrants,’ ‘California election rigging,’ etc, did not yield relevant results from prominent news media outlets, which, if true, would have triggered nationwide debates and criticisms, making headlines.

A fact check by Grok stated that “This claim is false and unsubstantiated. No credible news outlets, official FEC statements, court records, or law enforcement announcements link Nancy Pelosi, any of her LLCs, or her associates to a cash-for-votes scheme involving non-citizens voting multiple times in California.”

California's election system is facing increased federal scrutiny after a top Justice Department official announced that several election-fraud investigations are underway with the FBI.

The latest development comes as political tensions grow over the state’s long vote-counting process. Federal officials claim that flaws in California’s election system have reduced public trust and raised concerns about election integrity.

The latest update was provided by First Assistant US Attorney General Bill Essayli, who stated on Friday, June 5, that ensuring election integrity has become a key focus for federal authorities in California.

While he did not mention specific cases, Essayli revealed that multiple election-fraud investigations are currently active and being conducted in partnership with FBI agents.
