Fact Check: Did Erika Kirk create a Christian dating app called Faith and Fellowship?

WASHINGTON, DC: In the weeks following the death of conservative activist and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, social media platforms were flooded with tributes, speculation, and rumors about his widow, Erika Kirk.
Among the most widely shared claims was that the 36-year-old mother of two had launched a Christian dating app named 'Faith and Fellowship.'
Claim: Erika Kirk created dating app after Charlie Kirk's death
A meme posted by the X account @Inhumansoflate1 on September 19 included an alleged screenshot from Erika Kirk’s profile.
The image suggested she told followers her “new mission” after losing her husband was to help young Christians find partners.
The post quickly went viral, garnering more than 90,000 likes, and was re-uploaded on Facebook and Reddit, where it gained further traction.

Fact Check: Screenshot was fabricated and claim untrue
A review of Erika Kirk’s verified X account shows no such post was ever made. In fact, during the week of Charlie Kirk’s death on September 10, 2025, Erika did not tweet or re-tweet anything.
She resumed activity on September 21, when she began sharing memorial videos, clips from her husband’s podcast, and tributes from Turning Point USA. The screenshot being shared is fabricated.
Before her husband’s death there was also no evidence she ever promoted or launched a dating app. The viral post is another example of a digitally manipulated screenshot designed to mislead.

Erika Kirk leads Turning Point USA after husband’s death
On September 10, Charlie Kirk was shot and killed during a speaking engagement at Utah Valley University. He was 31. Days later, Erika recorded an emotional message from the studio where her husband used to film 'The Charlie Kirk Show.'
“You have no idea of the fire that you have ignited within this wife,” she said, addressing her husband’s killer. “If you thought that my husband’s mission was powerful before, you have no idea what you have unleashed.”
She described Charlie as a “perfect” husband and father, and pledged to make his movement the “biggest thing this nation has ever seen.”

A week after his death, Erika was formally announced as the new CEO of Turning Point USA, the conservative youth organization Charlie Kirk co-founded in 2012. She has vowed to continue his mission of mobilizing young conservatives across the country.
Erika told the audience, “My husband’s voice will live on. The show will go on,” adding, “This is not going to be a forever thing of me hosting the show.”
She explained, “The show will go on. We will have rotating hosts, rotating casts, rotating people coming on. It is going to be continually the north star of the conservative movement, of the voice of the youth, of the voice of the base, and that will not end.”
