The post quickly went viral, receiving more than 2.3 million views and prompting a mix of confusion, jokes, and memes from social media users. It gained traction amid online reports about Antonoff's reported marital troubles with Qualley.

The speculation intensified after Antonoff attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding festivities over the July 4 weekend without Qualley.

Antonoff, a longtime collaborator of Swift, was seen arriving at Madison Square Garden on July 2 ahead of the couple's wedding rehearsal dinner. He later attended the ceremony with his sister, fashion designer Rachel Antonoff, fueling further online rumors about the status of his marriage.

It is worth noting that Antonoff has been a longtime and outspoken supporter of the LGBTQ+ community. However, there is no evidence that he has publicly identified as gay. His public relationships and dating history have been with women.

In an interview with Dallas Voice, Antonoff explained why he strongly supports LGBTQ+ rights. When asked why those issues were so important to him, he said, "I wish there was a great story or a poetic answer, but I just don't know how anyone could not be outspoken and enraged with any violation of human rights."

He added that discrimination against LGBTQ+ people should be viewed as a universal human rights issue and said that anyone who recognizes such injustice should speak up and fight for equal rights.
