LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Actor James Franco has sparked widespread speculation after posting a series of cryptic TikTok videos since early June, claiming he possesses footage of an alleged extraterrestrial encounter. In the videos, Franco appears increasingly anxious, saying he believes he is being watched, followed, and may even disappear. The unusual posts have fueled online debate, with many users wondering whether he truly uncovered evidence of alien life.

Claim: James Franco found real alien footage

The rumor gained attention after James Franco recently posted a TikTok video on July 13 claiming he had found footage of an alleged alien. The video quickly went viral across social media, with many users questioning whether the actor had really captured evidence of extraterrestrial life.

At the beginning of the video, Franco said he wanted to reveal something he had discovered and claims the experience was unexpected. He told viewers he has "been through a lot," said people have called him "crazy."

He claimed his account was hacked twice by people trying to stop him from sharing the footage. He then showed several clips on his laptop that appear to depict an alien hiding behind a tree, looking through windows, and opening a door.

However, the speculation surrounding Franco's alleged alien footage did not begin with this video. Since joining TikTok with a new account on June 3, the actor has been posting a series of cryptic videos hinting that he had uncovered something unusual.

In his first post, he insisted the account was real and not created using artificial intelligence, telling followers to stay tuned because everything would eventually make sense.

As more videos appeared, Franco repeatedly denied that he was acting or joking and insisted his claims were real. Then, on June 15, he posted another video alleging that he had seen an alien on his property, fueling even more speculation online.

Since then, many social media users have wondered whether the videos document a real event or are part of a larger project or publicity campaign.

Fact Check: False

The claim is false. James Franco has not presented any verified evidence that he found real alien footage. Instead, he has been posting a series of cryptic, surveillance-style videos on TikTok that he claims show an extraterrestrial figure appearing around his property.

However, he has not provided any evidence to support those claims, and no credible source has confirmed that the footage is authentic.

The videos have fueled widespread speculation online, with some viewers believing the clips are genuine and others suggesting they are part of a publicity campaign.

At the end of one recent video, a message reads, "A lot more footage dropping soon! It gets very crazy!!!" As of now, Franco has not explained the purpose of the videos, and there have been no official statements confirming the alleged alien sightings.

Franco's recent TikTok activity has also sparked speculation because he is working on several upcoming film projects, according to his IMDb page. However, none of those projects appear to involve extraterrestrial life.

This has led some social media users to wonder whether the videos are connected to a future production, although there is no evidence to support that theory.

His last major film was 'The Ballad of Buster Scruggs,' released by Netflix in 2018, and his most recent television role was in HBO's 'The Deuce,' which concluded in 2019.

Franco is currently attached to upcoming films, including 'John Rambo' and 'Golden State Killer,' but neither has been linked to the viral TikTok videos.
