WASHINGTON, DC: Following the ‘60 Minutes’ interviews after the White House Correspondents' Shooting, a rumor has been circulating on social media platforms claiming that President Donald Trump called the host, Norah O’Donnell, ‘Nora O’Dumble.' Let us analyze the origins and authenticity of the viral claim and fact-check it.

The claim surfaced after social media users began sharing a purported screenshot of an X post by Trump, in which the president allegedly wrote, “That DIRTY nasty 60 minute broad asked me about Epstein to try and smear me."

"So listen upon NORA O'dumble, keep it up with the BS cause it's all you have. I was totally 100% exonerated by Todd Blanche and Epstein's girlfriend so stick it."

"Furthermore this is proof we need a ballroom. Somehow I'll figure out how to cram all 2400 attendees into our 1000 person ballroom but I'm Trump and I can make it happen."

"And going forward I'm directly Kadh Patel to investigate anyone who brings up Epstein since it's being used by ANTIFA to promote violence against the greatest president ever. Thomas Massie is on the short list with Tucker Carlson and now NORA O'DUMBLE.”

Fact Check: False, Donald Trump never made such a post

However, the screenshot is fabricated, and Trump never made such a post. A search on his X and Truth Social accounts for the remark revealed no such post.

The screenshot also does not match Trump’s actual X page. The verified badge in the fake post is blue, while Trump's official X account has a gray badge reserved for government/multilateral organizations or officials.

A search on Google for the relevant keywords yielded no credible reports in which the president made such a remark anywhere else.

Donald Trump clashes with Nora O’Donnell in the interview

At one point in the interview, the correspondent mentioned shooting suspect Cole Allen’s manifesto. “The so-called manifesto is a stunning thing to read, Mr President. He appears to reference a motive in it,” she began.

O’Donnell then quoted it: “Administration officials, they are targets.” The accused had also claimed that he’s “no longer willing to permit a traitor to coat my hands with his crimes.”

Trump grew visibly angry, saying, “Well, I was waiting for you to read that because I knew you would because you're-- you're he-- you're horrible people. Horrible people. Yeah, he did write that.”

O’Donnell, however, did not back down and continued, “Oh you think-- do you think he was referring to you?” making Trump angrier.

“You read that crap from some sick person? I got associated with all-- stuff that has nothing to do with me. I was totally exonerated. Your friends on the other side of the plate are the ones that were involved with, let's say, Epstein or other things,” the 79-year-old leader claimed.
