Fact Check: Do viral Polaroids show Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein with young women?
WASHINGTON, DC: In December 2025, a viral claim circulated on social media that a series of Polaroid photos showed President Trump and convicted s*x offender Jeffrey Epstein posing with young women.
The images were alleged to have been shared online following an announcement by Democrats on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform that they had received thousands of photos from Epstein’s estate.
But how much of this story is actually true?
Claim: Polaroids Show Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein with young women
Images circulating online showed four Polaroid photos of Trump and Epstein with young women. Social media users on platforms such as Threads, Facebook, and X shared posts suggesting the photos were authentic.
One Facebook user wrote, “FOUND, looks like old Polaroids to me and now I'm wondering how one can fake a Polaroid?"
Another post on X made an explicit accusation against Trump, claiming, “Trumps a pedo. pic.twitter.com/I4Vlp64mPu” — posted by @phantomchef50 on December 10, 2025.
On Threads, the post asserted that the Polaroid had been obtained from a trove of photos made public by the Democratic Oversight Committee.
Fact check: Polaroids purporting to show Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein are fake
The supposed Polaroids showed multiple signs of being created using artificial intelligence, leading the claim to be rated as false. A closer review of the images revealed clear facial distortions, such as part of Trump’s chin appearing to be missing and Epstein shown without one eye.
In another image, Trump appeared to have six fingers on one hand, while one of the young women’s hands was missing entirely. A Google reverse-image search showed that the images appeared only on social media and not on any credible news sites.
Had the photos come from legitimate sources, such as Epstein’s estate or an official release by House Oversight Democrats, they would have received widespread coverage from major news outlets.
Some posts circulating the fabricated images claimed they originated from Epstein-related emails released by House Oversight Democrats or other official disclosures. However, if that were the case, the women’s faces would have been blurred or redacted to protect their privacy, consistent with other released images.
“Committee Democrats are committed to protecting the identities of the survivors,” a House Oversight news release said about the photos.
Previously, in mid-November 2025, a viral photograph allegedly depicting Trump in close physical contact with a young girl circulated online after the Oversight Committee released thousands of pages of documents related to Epstein. That image was later found to contain multiple signs of having been generated using artificial intelligence, with the most noticeable red flag being distorted hands, including one hand with unnaturally long fingers.
