LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Amid the massive backlash against President Donald Trump’s immigration polices involving aggressive immigration crackdown by federal agencies, a claim has been circulating on social media platforms that singer Billie Eilish has donated $1 million to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Let us fact-check the claim.

Claim: Billie Eilish donated to Immigration and Customs Enforcement

According to the viral post on X, Eilish donated a significant amount and blamed former President Joe Biden for the presence of illegal immigrants in the country.

The claim was posted by an account called ‘Gene Parmesan’ stating, “BREAKING: Billie Eilish has donated $1 million dollars to ICE”

The post read, “I was wrong. It turns out lots of people are illegal on stolen land, including the 20 million illegals Joe Biden let into this country because he was asleep at the wheel. ICE deserves full funding. WOW”

At the time of this writing, the post has garnered almost two million views and thousands of comments.

Fact Check: The claim is fake

However, there is no credible evidence that Billie Eilish donated $1 million to ICE or made the above statements about immigration enforcement.

It is unlikely for the popular singer to make such a statement, being an outspoken critic of ICE. She even used her acceptance speech at the 2026 Grammy Awards to advocate for immigrant rights, saying, “No one is illegal on stolen land."

Moreover, ICE is a federal law enforcement agency under the Department of Homeland Security, and is funded by tax dollars and does not accept direct monetary donations.

A fact check by Grok, the AI assistant of X, confirmed the rumor to be fake, stating, “No, this isn't real—it's a satirical post from a parody account."

"Recent reports show Billie Eilish criticizing ICE in her February 2, 2026 Grammy speech, saying "f**k ICE" and "No one is illegal on stolen land," while donating millions to climate and food equity causes, not ICE.”

Eilish made a bold political statement by arriving on the red carpet with an 'ICE Out' pin to join a wave of celebrity protests against the federal government's conduct.

The pop star’s choice of accessory highlighted growing outrage over ICE’s actions in Minneapolis, including the use of deadly force.

Celebrities at the Grammys wore 'ICE OUT' pins to show support for protests against ICE after deadly shootings by agents in Minneapolis, a demonstration that has sparked national outrage and activism.

Stars like Justin Bieber, Hailey Bieber, Kehlani, Joni Mitchell, Amy Allen, and Samara Joy also appeared on the red carpet with the pins as a symbol of solidarity with people speaking out against the agency’s tactics.
