WASHINGTON, DC: An image circulating widely on social media that appears to show a young Donald Trump alongside convicted offender Jeffrey Epstein at a party with women has sparked debate and concern online, with some users suggesting it’s authentic.

President Donald Trump’s longtime friendship with Jeffrey Epstein has been a topic of conversation as his administration is set to release its full Epstein files, after Trump and his top officials long attempted to keep the documents, and possibly more of his own ties to Epstein, hidden from the public.

Claim: Image depicts younger Trump seated next to Jeffrey Epstein, surrounded by women

Posts on platforms like X, Threads and Facebook have shared an image purportedly depicting a younger Donald Trump seated next to Jeffrey Epstein at a social event, surrounded by women.

The image is often presented without sourcing, and in some cases with added text suggesting Trump denied knowing Epstein.

These shares have led some readers to assume the image represents a real historical photograph of the two men together.

President Trump appears next to Epstein with overlaid text in a speech bubble pointing to him saying: “Who? Jeffrey Epstein? Never heard of him.” The men are surrounded by young women.

Fact Check: Fake, the image is not genuine and shows clear signs of AI creation

The image of Trump sitting with Epstein and a group of young women that’s been making the rounds online isn’t real. It looks like someone made it with AI.

Reviewers caught several odd details, like weirdly shaped bodies and limbs that just don’t look right.

In the alleged picture, Epstein doesn’t even have legs, and the others look off, too.

There are three lower legs appearing by the woman on the left. Faces in the background are also warped. All of that pretty much gives away that this isn’t an actual photograph, but something generated by artificial intelligence.

More than a million additional documents that are potentially related to late offender and financier Jeffrey Epstein have been uncovered, according to the United States Department of Justice (DOJ).

During his 2024 campaign, Trump expressed willingness to release Epstein-related files (@SpencerHakimian/X)

Thus, the image currently recirculating online appears to show a young Donald Trump with Jeffrey Epstein is not real and was likely created using AI.

Although there are legitimate historical photographs of Trump and Epstein together, this specific image contains visual anomalies and lacks credible sourcing.

It should not be taken as evidence of an authentic event.
