TUCSON, ARIZONA: The FBI returned to the home of Nancy Guthrie on Wednesday, February 25, in what sources described as a final sweep of the property before it is handed back to her family.
Agents reportedly spent more than two hours at the Tucson residence of the 84-year-old mother of Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, collecting any remaining material that could aid the investigation. According to The New York Post, the latest visit suggested authorities may have exhausted immediate leads in the case.

Investigators were said to be ensuring that no crucial detail had been overlooked during earlier searches. Tipsters claimed the February 25 visit focused on reviewing previously gathered material and double-checking areas inside and outside the property.
Nancy Guthrie has been missing for nearly a month. She was reported missing on February 1 after failing to attend church services. Authorities later confirmed she was last seen on the evening of January 31.
Despite weeks of investigation, no suspects have been publicly identified.

As the search unfolded, security footage from Guthrie’s doorbell camera surfaced, allegedly showing a masked individual outside her home engaging in suspicious activity. However, officials have not announced any arrests connected to the footage.
On February 20, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos acknowledged the complexity of the case while addressing reporters.
“In terms of leads and working and getting out there, I think that’s still growing, yeah,” Nanos said. “It’s never fast enough for the sheriff. I want it like you: ‘Come on, guys, let’s go, let’s go, let’s find her.’ But the reality is that I also know that sometimes things take time.”
Savannah Guthrie offers $1 million reward for information
Amid mounting uncertainty, Savannah Guthrie and her family announced a $1 million reward for information leading to answers about her mother’s whereabouts.
In a recent Instagram video, the broadcaster expressed both hope and realism about the situation.
“We still believe in a miracle, we still believe that she can come home — hope against hope,” she said. “We also know that she may be lost; she may already be gone.”
She added that the family would accept whatever truth emerges but emphasized the need for closure.

The 54-year-old journalist asked supporters to continue praying and to help bring clarity to the case.
“Help us bring our beloved mom home so that we can either celebrate a glorious, miraculous homecoming or celebrate the beautiful, brave, courageous and noble life that she has lived,” she said. “Please be the light in the dark.”
