Federal officials allege anti-ICE protesters targeted dogs after Minneapolis kennel incident
MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA: Department of Homeland Security has alleged that anti-ICE protesters have begun targeting dogs after a staff member at a kennel wrote "ICE OUT" on a dog’s feed chart.
The federal agency accused anti-ICE agitators of targeting a K-9 named "Dina" in a social media post, linking the incident to protests against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Department of Homeland Security calls out anti-ICE protestors
The post read, “THEY’RE EVEN GOING AFTER THE DOGS! In Minneapolis, anti-ICE agitators are targeting our @CBP K-9s, including K-9 Dina, pictured here.”
“At the kennel where K-9 Dina was staying, it was discovered that an employee had written 'ICE OUT' on her feed chart,” the post added. However, it remains unclear which kennel Dina was staying at or the identity of the staff member responsible for her care.
Minneapolis protests surge after fatal ICE shooting of Renee Nicole Good
The protests, which had been ongoing for weeks in Minneapolis, escalated after Renee Nicole Good, 37, was fatally shot by an ICE official on January 7.
Good was accused of blocking an operation and threatening an agent. The Trump administration described her as a "domestic te**orist" and referred to her as “deranged, lunatic,” while characterizing the 43-year-old official as “brave” and “experienced.”
“Now, there is plentiful video evidence to show that the officer was struck by the car that this deranged, lunatic woman was trying to ram him over with her vehicle and was using that vehicle as a weapon, which justifies domestic terrorism,” Karoline Leavitt had said.
Trump called Renee Nicole Good's killing 'horrible'
During a White House press briefing, the US commander-in-chief described Good’s killing as “a tragedy.”
He reportedly said, “I felt horribly when I was told that the young woman who … had that tragedy. It's a tragedy. It's a horrible thing. Everybody would say it, ICE would say the same thing.”
Trump also noted that Good’s father was his fan and expressed hope that “he still is.” “He was all for Trump. Loved Trump. It's terrible. I was told that by a lot of people. They say, 'Oh, he loves you.' He was a ‒ I hope he still feels that way,” the 79-year-old stated, before adding, “It's a hard, hard situation. But her father was a tremendous, and parents, were tremendous Trump fans. It's so sad. It just happens. It's terrible.”
Regarding the ICE agent Jonathan Ross killing Good, Trump appeared to justify it when he asserted, “They're going to make mistakes. Sometimes, ICE is going to be too rough with somebody. You know, you deal with rough people.”
