WASHINGTON, DC: A guest on Fox Business Network has caused a stir by referring to Vice President Kamala Harris as the "original Hawk Tuah girl."

Alec Lace made the comments before the vice president became the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee.

Alec Lace questions whether he went too far by calling Kamala Harris 'OG Hawk Tuah girl'

During his July 5 appearance, the podcaster made a comparison between Kamala Harris and 22-year-old Hailey Welch who went viral after describing spitting during a sex act while being interviewed on the street, as reported by Daily Beast.

"Kamala Harris, she is the original Hawk Tuah girl—that’s the way she got where she is, and the party is going downhill if it’s in her hands," said Lace.

Dagen McDowell, host of Fox Business, found the remarks offensive and told him, "That was harsh."

Lace then took to X (formerly Twottr) and wrote, "Did I go too far on FOX News calling Kamala Harris the OG Hawk Tuah girl or am I right over the target?" instead of apologizing for the remarks.

Tucker Carlson has repeatedly attacked Harris after she announced her presidential bid, calling her "bloodthirsty," "stupid," and "nasty." The former Fox News host has also drawn comparisons between the vice president and Pol Pot, the genocidal dictator of Cambodia.

Republicans have attacked her using "side chick" slurs over her decades-old affair with Willie Brown, the former mayor of San Francisco. Harris dated Brown, 31 years her senior, in the mid-1990s.

Meanwhile, the Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has been trying out nicknames for his likely rival and has been using "lying" and "laffing" in front of her name at rallies and on social media.

Internet slams Alec Lace over his remarks on Kamala Harris

Netizens were quick to blast Alec Lace for calling Kamala Harris the "original Hawk Tuah girl."

One wrote, "Talking about her sexual past isnt productive. Focus on the issues. Act like an adult. This type of behavior hurts conservatives in the long run."

Another said, "How would you feel about someone calling your princess that one day? You went way too far. Totally unnecessary. If you have a substantive argument to make make it. Ad hominem attacks speak volumes about you."

"It wasn’t necessary and further pushes away women who may want to vote red," remarked a person, while someone else stated, "Disgusting. Never speak again."

One more declared, "You're a poor excuse for a man."
