WASHINGTON, DC: Fred Trump III slammed his uncle, former president Donald Trump over his views on the US military, during his appearance on the Monday, September 2, episode of 'Deadline: White House.'

He drew upon the 'Godfather' franchise to describe the former president and GOP nominee, as he engaged in conversation with network host Nicolle Wallace, reported Raw Story.

Trump was recently embroiled in controversy after visiting the Arlington National Cemetery last month and posing for photographs in a restricted access area with the family of a deceased trooper, with a smile and thumbs-up gesture. Members of his campaign also got allegedly involved in an altercation with a cemetery official.

Fred Trump and Nicolle Wallace's conversation on Donald Trump

Nicolle Wallace shared on Labor Day that Donald Trump continues to "shamefully employ" the same tactic in "every single one of his political campaigns".

"That is, dragging our nation's veterans and their families into the muck with him to be used as political props."

"This is Mr 'Suckers and losers' we're talking about here, his words, not ours, whose personal history is painted wall to wall, with not just moments but true beliefs that dishonor the military," she added.

Fred Trump, who had shared how his uncle avoided being drafted into the Vietnam War citing bone spurs in his book, 'All in the Family: The Trumps and How We Got This Way,' recounted that the latter had one draft deferment at Fordham University and two more in the University of Pennsylvania.

Trump believes anyone, including people with disabilities, who he deems "lesser than him" is a "loser," claimed Fred.

"That's just the way he is. That ain't going to change."

He said that he had "no idea" why some military members support the GOP nominee, adding that he stated the truth during an interview with National Defense Radio, when he said, "He (Trump) just doesn't give a s**t about them. He just doesn't."

"It's the great 'Godfather 2', one of the last scenes when Sonny says, 'Country ain't your blood, kid.' Michael Corleone says, 'No, I don't believe that.' Donald believes in Donald," said Fred, comparing Donald Trump's views on the military to the iconic franchise.

Internet backs Fred Trump in slamming Donald Trump

Netizens reacting to the story on the Raw Story website backed Fred Trump in calling out his uncle, Donald Trump.

"Donald Trump is the Party of Me. Every selfish decision he makes is just meant to benefit himself," wrote a person.

"None of the billionaires give a s**t about you...Trump is just the poster child for their disdain," stated another.

"Honestly speaking... who the hell would have wanted to serve beside Donald Trump in the military? ... In the long run, the Fascist Pig probably did the military and America a favor by bone-spurring out of being drafted," expressed a third.

"He's a sociopath. Always has been, always will be," chided a fourth.

"Trump doesn't give a s**t about anything other than Trump. Period. End of statement," echoed a fifth.
