WASHINGTON, DC: Nicolle Wallace of MSNBC mocked Donald Trump's slurred speech during his interview with Elon Musk on the social media platform X.

The Republican presidential candidate on Monday, August 13, sat for a friendly two-hour interview with tech mogul Elon Musk on X. Technical problems delayed the start of the event for more than 40 minutes.

Musk had attributed the technical glitch to a DDoS attack. During the interview, Trump appeared to slur as he talked about immigration, economy and other issues.

Nicolle Wallace played a particular clip of Donald Trump, where he spoke about climate change, as reported by Raw Story.

The Republican presidential nominee shockingly said, as per The Hill, “The biggest threat is not global warming, where the ocean is going to rise one-eighth of an inch over the next 400 years … and you’ll have more oceanfront property.”

Wallace slammed Trump saying, “I mean, you could just stop right here and for the next two hours, deal with the 'oceanfront property'. The thing about the oceanfront property is that it would all be underwater.”

She continued, “Call it a technical snafu, a medical issue, call it a problem with his dentures, age, call it whatever you want. But we see what we see.”

Former President Donald Trump listens as his attorney Todd Blanche speaks during a press conference at 40 Wall Street after a pre-trial hearing on March 25, 2024 in New York City. Judge Juan Merchan scheduled Trump's criminal trial to begin on April 15, which would make it the first criminal prosecution of a former American president. Trump was charged with 34 counts of falsifying business records last year, which prosecutors say was an effort to hide a potential sex scandal, both before and after the 2016 election. “And at best, Donald Trump is having difficulty enunciating his words. It sounds like it could be any of those things,” Wallace added.

While she said that she wasn't sure what the cause of Trump's slurred speech, she said it shouldn't be ignored.

The former White House Communications Director did not stop there as she went on to accuse Trump of being “in service of people like Elon Musk and himself".

“Self-obsessed rich guys who will sell out the middle class and who cannot run a live stream in the year 2024,” she added while referring to the 40-minute delay that happened during Trump's live conversation with the Tesla founder.

Internet reacts to Donald Trump's interview

Meanwhile, people online reacted to Donald Trump and Elon Musk's softball interview.

A reader below the Raw Story article commented, “Trump's symptoms of vascular dementia don't interest me. What was really amusing in this amateur hour was the self-entitled certainty held by these two filthy rich men, both famously failing to meet their tax obligations, that they should get any say at all in how our tax dollars are spent.”

The second one wrote, “Rich people don't have dentures. They get implants. He sounded like he was so coked to the gills his tongue was numb.”

“Another option to consider about his extensive new lisp is that perhaps Dr Ronnie Jackson Johnson Candyman has him on new medication and he hasn't figured out the right dose, yet. If it's Trump's faulty dentures, there's this new thing called implants,” the third one mentioned.

The fourth one stated, “He's done this before and they blamed the dentures before. I think it's some kind of speech aphasia.”

The fifth one said, “I doubt he has dentures. Implants probably, porcelain veneers. He's slurring his words because he's got a medical condition going on.”

A comment read, “The problem with Trump's dentures is that they are attached to a moron.”

Another comment read, “The dentures are rejecting the BODY. Rare, but not impossible.”
