WASHINGTON, DC: When President Biden urged House members to return to Washington, DC to vote on a package that would support Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan on Saturday, February 17, it seemed as though he was confusing NATO with Ukraine

"The idea that we’re going to walk away from Ukraine, the idea that we’re going to begin to let NATO split is totally against the interests of the United States of America, and it’s against our word we’ve given since all the way back to Eisenhower. So it’s about time we make sure Congress come home and pass the legislation funding NATO," Biden addressed the media in Delaware on Saturday.

The bipartisan plan, which would provide the three allies with $95.3 million in money for defense, was passed by the Senate this week. However, because the House is on break for two weeks, House Speaker Mike Johnson has stated that the House would not "rush" to enact the law.

After Special Counsel Robert Hur's report on the president's improper handling of classified materials was released this week, Biden's mental state has come under investigation due to his alleged "poor memory."

Hur stated in the report that there will be no legal action taken against the president, "We have also considered that, at trial, Mr Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview of him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory."

The Republican National Committee’s X account 'RNC Research' tweeted, "Ukraine isn’t in NATO — neither are Israel and Taiwan."

Not to be outdone, Biden last week misidentified the presidents of Mexico and Egypt and mispronounced "red state and blue state" as "red state and green state" when making his remarks at the House Democratic Caucus Issues Conference.

Biden stated, "When I said — when I pushed these programs — I said I'm going to be the president of everybody we live in a red state or green state."

Internet reacts

Several internet users trolled Joe Biden after he confused NATO with Ukraine in calling for Congress members to pass a funding bill.

A user posted on X saying, "Biden is one funny guy. I wonder what they will put in the history books for the kids to have fun reading," whereas one added, "Are you surprised? The rest of us aren't."

A user also mentioned, "Bidens my way or no way has now cost him at least two weeks of delay. His handlers need to pass the message on to him that all he needs to do is reinstate a few of Trump's border polices," while one stated, "Does it matter? We should be helping both. But you all are not doing anything but complaining and covering news that doesn’t have anything to do with anything. Go do something constructive like cover the fact that this is the least productive house on record."

A person also said, "He needs to be removed from office.....immediately!"
