NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: In a scathing monologue on his popular Fox News program, Sean Hannity unleashed a torrent of criticism against Democrats' purported efforts to stifle former President Donald Trump's re-election campaign.

Hannity lambasted the Democrats alleged attempt to re-elect a supposedly faltering opponent while constraining Trump's political maneuverability.

Hannity lambasts legal development involving Trump campaign

"Dems are now trying to re-elect a cognitive mess with a record of failure who can barely muster the energy to campaign," Hannity said referring to President Joe Biden, setting the tone for his tirade.

He accused Democrats of engineering a facade of "America First," a concept Biden purportedly disavowed just four years prior.

Hannity juxtaposed this alleged Democratic strategy with what he portrayed as Trump's burgeoning momentum.

"Trump, meanwhile, is gaining momentum," he asserted confidently, adding, "He's drawing big crowds. He is leading in the polls."

The Fox News host then turned his ire towards a recent legal development involving the Trump campaign, insinuating foul play.

"It is no surprise that a New York judge who donated to Biden — oh, that's fair — is now keeping the Trump campaign and Donald Trump, the candidate, off the campaign trail, trapped in a courtroom," Hannity lamented.

He went on to paint a dire picture of the consequences should Democrats prevail in their legal efforts against Trump.

"If Democrats had their way, he'd be in court for the next 201 days with a muzzle on the entire time, like the gag order New York has imposed on Donald J Trump," Hannity warned ominously.

In a moment of heightened rhetoric, Hannity invoked the specter of a compromised Department of Justice and the erosion of the rule of law.

"God help us, because this weaponized Department of Justice — it will never recover. Say 'bye, bye' to the rule of law in America, because it will fold like a house of cards," he exclaimed.

Netizens slam Hannity for comments on Trump campaign

The online community wasted no time in reacting to the unfolding events, with netizens slamming Hannity for his remarks.

One person wrote, "Fox lets you stay on the air. People who listen to you just shake their heads. When Biden talks people applaud. So I ask you who is the mess."

Another person wrote, "Does Fox have any new material?? It's just rinse & repeat...".

One more viewer said, "Hahaha. Gaslighting jester".

"Lol...no. Fox and its subsidiary Republicans are about to go through some stuff. #VoteBidenHarris2024," A comment read.

"Sean Hannity is a liar. How you keep all those liars on the air is beyond me. I can only hope more lawsuits come your way. You are BAD for America," one more comment read.

"Sorry hannity, you and cognitive don't go together," one more person said.
