WASHINGTON, DC: Conservative attorney George Conway has criticized former president Donald Trump for his recent false claim that President Joe Biden and the FBI were out to kill him and also accused the judge Aileen Cannon overseeing the case of 'bias.'

In a controversial fundraising email, Trump alleged that the FBI was prepared to kill him during a search at Mar-a-Lago in 2022 for classified documents. He doubled down on the claim by posting about it on Truth Social.

Conway called the accusation by Trump against a government agency "absolutely obscene."

"The notion that so many people had to participate to send this email and are … beholden to Trump [and] are doing these things, just shows you the level of just moral depravity that … Trump emanated and that surrounds him," Conway said while speaking to Kaitlan Collins on CNN.

He added that words cannot describe the level of depravity involved in sending such a message.

The FBI has cleared its stand saying it allows for deadly force “when necessary,” like when someone poses an “imminent danger of death” to an officer or someone else.

Attorney General Merrick Garland on Thursday, May 23, also slammed Trump's claims saying they were "false and extremely dangerous."

In response to Trump’s claims, Special Counsel Jack Smith has called on Judge Aileen Cannon to gag Trump from speaking about the case in a way that could endanger law enforcement officials.

"Trump... has grossly distorted... standard practices by mischaracterizing them as a plan to kill him, his family, and US Secret Service agents," the filing filed on Friday, May 24, says in part, according to ABC News.

“He’s basically accusing the government of trying to take him out," Conway said, echoing Smith’s calls for a gag order, holding up his cellphone showing Trump’s email.

Conway lauded Smith’s filing, arguing it finally puts Cannon on the spot. "This woman has absolutely, completely shown an absolute bias against the government from day one in multiple ways," he lashed out.

"She’s dragging her feet on this case. And if she doesn’t do something about this, I think the Special Counsel may use it as the opportunity to try to get the 11th circuit to get rid of her," he added.

"Do you think that she would do something? I don’t know," Conway added. "But she … better because this is just … completely outrageous,” Conway said, according to The Hill.

“I mean, it is really an attempt to incite violence against government agents based on the complete pathological lie and misreading," he said.

Internet reacts to George Conway’s comments about Donald Trump and Judge Aileen Cannon

Meanwhile, internet users have reacted to Conway’s comments about Trump and Judge Cannon.

One user wrote, “Clarence Thomas oversees the 11th Circuit so highly unlikely she will ever get removed.”

The second user wrote, "I love judges biased against the government thugs." Another user wrote, “Cannon is a compromised mob judge."

Yet another user wrote, “This defies common sense. The trial must be EXPEDITED so we know whether or not Trump stole, sold, and shared our classified secrets BEFORE we vote. Otherwise, Judge Cannon is engaging in corrupt election interference. It’s unAmerican. And crazy.”

"The lying con man wasn’t even at mal when FBI agents arrived so how did he narrowly escape death. Pathetic," wrote one more on Trump's claim of the FBI taking him out. "I think she’s trying to get fired. Has been from the beginning," commented one more.
