Internet divided as anti-Trump conservative lawyer George Conway donates nearly $1M to Biden Victory Fund
WASHINGTON, DC: George Conway, the lawyer who gained notoriety on the internet for his anti-Trump tweets, will be the main attraction at a fundraiser for President Joe Biden in Washington, DC on April 24.
The prominent conservative attorney, who was previously married to former Trump campaign manager and senior counselor, Kellyanne Conway, recently made a sizable contribution to the Biden Victory Fund.
Conway donated a substantial sum of $929,600, which is the maximum amount legally permissible, per CNN.
What did George Conway say about his donation to President Joe Biden?
When asked why he donated to the incumbent President’s reelection bid, Conway responded, “This election is about nothing less than whether we’ll continue to live in a democracy under the rule of law. That’s priceless, so I consider my contribution to be a bargain.”
This would be George Conway's first major pro-Biden event.

Melissa Moss disclosed to reporters that she invited Conway to headline the fundraiser, without seeking any monetary contribution from him.
However, Conway expressed his unwavering support for the event, affirming to her, “I want to make a statement, I’m all in.”
