Marjorie Taylor Greene made several statements while referencing conspiracy theories about the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2020 election during her time in the House of Representatives, per the outlet.

The COVID-19 conspiracies also led to the banning of her X account in 2022 but was reinstated after billionaire Elon Musk bought the platform in October 2022.

During her time, one of the most controversial remarks which she made was comparing mask-wearing to the Holocaust. She apologized for it after drawing fierce backlash from people.

She said at the time, "I'm truly sorry for offending people with remarks about the Holocaust. There's no comparison and there never ever will be."

However, she had to pay a price for her remarks as she was stripped of her House committee assignments one month into her tenure in 2021. She was later named to new committees after Republicans took control of the chamber in 2023.

Fellow House Republicans condemned Marjorie Taylor Greene

Marjorie Taylor Greene sparked criticism from various Republicans in May 2024 as she announced her plans to call a vote on her previously unprivileged motion to vacate against House Speaker Mike Johnson, according to Newsweek.

She introduced the motion to vacate against Johnson in March after he passed a $1.2 trillion spending package with Democratic support to fund the government, per the outlet.

Representative Don Bacon told reporters that most Republicans find her effort to remove Johnson "disgusting". He said, "Ninety-six percent of us find it disgusting."

He added, "I just try to ignore it. I can't help what she does. I think we'll overwhelmingly oppose it, and I think even on the Democrat side, we'll have a lot of support. We're tired of the chaos. We're tired of the anarchy."

Moreover, in a statement reported by Punchbowl News' Jake Sherman, Johnson said Greene's motion is "wrong for the Republican Conference, wrong for the institution, and wrong for the country."

Representative Marc Molinaro also criticized Greene in April 2024 for her political "theater". He said, "Her theater and this constant effort to hold the Congress hostage has to come to an end. I'm going to have no part in it. And a good number of my colleagues, conservative and moderate, believe that enough is enough. It is time to move on and to move past this kind of nonsense."
