WASHINGTON, DC: Philanthropist Glenn Beck applauded President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address, saying he saw a different president at the podium.

Beck praised Trump for highlighting achievements such as the economic recovery without exaggeration. The address also marked a milestone, Trump delivered the first State of the Union of his second term and broke his own record for the longest annual speech.

Glenn Beck dubs Trump ‘machine’ after his best SOTU speech

After President Trump’s State of the Union speech, Glenn Beck praised it on X, calling it the best SOTU of his lifetime. He wrote, “Tonight’s #SOTU was the best of my lifetime. Spot on. Right tone, hit people where they live, exposed the democrats as being WAY out of touch with the average American.”

Beck continued, “Great hopeful stories, heroes from every walk of life and @realDonaldTrump was at his zenith. Best speech he has delivered by far, confident with out arrogance, clear without anger, funny, honest and effective.”

He added, “I have no SOTU’s i can compare it to. As people in the Presidents former business would say, 'there are no comparables.’”

The philanthropist concluded, “Great speech. Never thought i would say this about any SOTU, but worth every minute. As he was walking away he looked and acted 20 years younger. The guy is a machine."

During his State of the Union speech, President Trump attacked Democrats and blamed them for many of the country’s problems. He said rising health care premiums “are caused by you,” claimed Democrats “are not protecting” Social Security, and held them responsible for the nation’s affordability issues. “You caused that problem. You caused that problem,” Trump said, glaring at the Democratic side of the room.

He grew more intense as the speech went on. “These people are crazy, I’m telling you, they’re crazy,” he said. “Democrats are destroying this country.” His MAGA supporters cheered his aggression, but it is unclear whether the rest of the country agrees.

Trump also used the speech to question the integrity of US elections. “Cheating is rampant in our elections. It’s rampant,” he said. He has repeated these claims for years, focusing on his 2020 election loss.

Finally, Trump set a personal record; his State of the Union lasted just under 1 hour and 48 minutes, making it the longest of his presidency.
