WASHINGTON, DC: Republican Rep Mike Collins is apparently trying to make Sen JD Vance, the running mate of Donald Trump, more glamorous.

The Georgia lawmaker took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a digitally altered image of the Ohio senator, showing him with striking cheekbones and a chiseled jawline. The congressman cryptically captioned it "Gm."

Rep Mike Collins shares JD Vance's altered image after vice presidential debate

Mike Collins shared the enhanced picture on Wednesday, October 2, a day after JD Vance's successful debate against Democratic rival Tim Walz.

The X community notes flagged Collins' post, stating, "This photo has been digitally altered to change JD Vance’s appearance." It also included a link to Vance's page on the Senate website.

However, Vance, with a chiseled jawline, could be the way Collins celebrated the Trump running mate's performance at the vice presidential debate hosted by CBS News.

The Ohio senator's clash with the Minnesota governor garnered praise from the media, Republican lawmakers, and pundits across the political spectrum.

"JD was fantastic last night — it just reconfirmed my choice," said Trump in a Fox News interview on Wednesday, as per The Hill.

The real estate mogul who displayed a subpar debate performance against Vice President Kamala Harris last month said Walz "embarrassed himself and the Democrat Party last night but was made to look even worse by JD's brilliant performance."

The 45th president's national press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, called the GOP VP pick's debate "total domination," as per Mediaite.

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough acknowledged that the senator was "stylistically better" than his Democratic opponent. Meanwhile, CNN's Jake Tapper described Vance's performance as "slicker."

Above all, it was Rep Collins who decided to take the apparent appreciation to the next level by artificially enhancing Vance's facial features. Nevertheless, the lawmaker's X bio, "Come for the memes, stay for the policy," hints at why he might have celebrated Vance's debate performance through the photo.

Internet in splits as Mike Collins shares digitally altered photo of JD Vance

Responding to Mike Collins' post, netizens roasted the "yassified" JD Vance image, quipping about his altered jawline and newfound masculinity.

One quipped, "This has to be one of the funniest photoshops I’ve ever seen. Bro has never had a jawline in his whole life and suddenly he’s gigachad," and another wrote,  "His own mother wouldn't recognize him in this AI picture..."

"Lmao!! Omg. This is so embarrassing. You tried to give him more masculine features. Which intern edited this photo," joked a person, while someone else said, "Bro gave him the Handsome Squidward treatment. What is wrong with y'all?"

"Babe wake up, a sitting congressman just yassified jd vance," wrote an individual.

One more remarked, "Don’t let them brainwash you. The man grew a beard to distract you from his soy weak gene jawline."

"When your boy jd vance prefers a smoky eye over a chiseled jaw," wrote another person, sharing a meme.

A netizen joked, "Looks like Rep Collins was playing with Facetune last night."
