Graham Norton teases mystery male star who attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Graham Norton has revealed that he spoke with a mystery male celebrity at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding, describing the star as his “white whale” guest.

The talk show host shared the details while discussing the reported $30 million event on the 'Wanging On' With Norton and Maria McErlane podcast. He also recalled attending the wedding, describing it as a “lovely, lovely” celebration.

While chatting with McErlane, Norton teased that he had the opportunity to speak with “one big star” who has never appeared on his BBC talk show.

However, he refused to reveal the celebrity’s identity, as doing so would confirm that the person attended the wedding. Norton was also unsure whether their presence had already been publicly reported.

“But I can’t tell you who it was,” Norton told McErlane, adding, “Because I would have to tell you that they were at the wedding, and I don’t think I’ve seen their name anywhere. So I’m not sure if people know they were at the wedding.” 

Norton offered two clues, revealing that the mystery celebrity is a man who has yet to appear on 'The Graham Norton Show,' which has aired on the BBC since 2007.

The star allegedly approached him and said, “Oh, uh, I’ve been meaning to come on your show.”

However, Norton admitted that he was intoxicated at the time and joked that he might have misunderstood the interaction. “So, he might have said, I’m never coming on your show. He’s talking to me!” he said.

Despite the reported NDA that wedding guests were required to sign, several celebrities who attended the Madison Square Garden celebration have been identified, including Steven Spielberg, Tom Cruise, Paul McCartney, Stevie Nicks, Tom Brady, Emma Stone, Bradley Cooper and Selena Gomez.

Norton has previously named Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio as his two “dream guests,” and only one of them attended the July 3 wedding.

ESPN personality Pat McAfee confirmed that he interacted with Pitt at the reception, recalling that the actor brought him a “Jack and diet” from the bar.

McAfee said there was likely something he had agreed not to discuss. He also noted that guests were not allowed to have phones, notes or anything to write with, meaning they had to rely entirely on their memories.

Norton first mentioned Pitt as a dream guest in 2016, following news of the actor’s split from Angelina Jolie.

During an interview on 'This Morning' last July, he reiterated his wish to have the actor on his show, saying, “We’ve still never had Brad Pitt. Never had him. He’s about the last of those kind of old-school kind of Hollywood stars we haven’t had.”

Norton also discussed Swift and Kelce’s wedding during an appearance on 'The Chris Evans Breakfast Show' on Virgin Radio UK.

The July 3 celebration at Madison Square Garden was widely dubbed “America’s royal wedding” because of the global attention it attracted, the heightened security and its star-studded guest list.

For Norton, however, the wedding felt like any other celebration. Reflecting on the experience, he recalled travelling in a “big black car” while New York was shut down before arriving at Madison Square Garden.

He described the journey as the exciting part of the experience, adding that once guests passed through the curtains and got out of their cars, “you were at a wedding.”
