STATESVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA: Just before a tragic plane crash claimed the lives of NASCAR driver Greg Biffle, his wife, Cristina Grossu Biffle, and two of his children, daughter Emma and son Ryder, the family was publicly sharing heartfelt glimpses of their home life.

Greg Biffle’s family often posted family moments online
Greg Biffle and his wife often shared their lives with fans on social media.
On Thursday, hours before they died in a fiery plane crash in North Carolina, Greg's wife Cristina took to Instagram to share a Martha Stewart-inspired meme about success.
It read, “At 30, Martha Stewart hadn’t started a business, at 35 she launched her catering company. At 58, she became a billionaire.”
Earlier this month, she shared a romantic photo with Greg, and last month she posted a picture snuggling their five-year-old son, Ryder, captioned simply: “My ❤️.”
In September, she wrote on Instagram, “Life’s too short to spend it stuck in a cycle you don’t love. We only get one shot at this, and every sunrise is a reminder that the time is now. … Passion isn’t something you stumble across; it’s something you choose to pursue with courage and persistence. At the end of the day, your time, energy, and love are your greatest currency. Spend them wisely."
She concluded at that time, "Prioritize moments with people who matter. Create memories that make your soul smile.”
Greg Biffle posted videos of his daily holiday giveaway before the plane crash
In recent days, when he wasn’t sharing his passion for racing, Greg Biffle highlighted his "Biffmas" daily holiday giveaway, offering cash and other prizes, while posting heartwarming moments from his life as a husband and father. He shared clips of date nights with Cristina, playing badminton with his son Ryder, and even showing off one of Ryder’s toy excavators.
Last week, Greg uploaded a day-in-the-life vlog on his YouTube channel, documenting a recent trip with Cristina to Indianapolis. “Saw a lot of friends, racers, colleagues from the racing industry,” he said. “It was good to catch up with everyone.” He signed off with a message to his followers, “We got some good stuff coming.”
Biffle family friend recalls final conversation with Cristina
The Biffle family is being remembered for their generosity and big hearts. Family friend, Rep Richard Hudson, shared a heartfelt memory of his final conversation with Cristina following their deaths.
I am devastated by the loss of Greg, Cristina, and their children, and my heart is with all who loved them.

They were friends who lived their lives focused on helping others. Greg was a great NASCAR champion who thrilled millions of fans. But he was an extraordinary person as…
“The last time I spoke with Cristina, just a couple of weeks ago,” the North Carolina congressman wrote on X on Thursday. “She reached out to ask how she could help with relief efforts in Jamaica. That’s who the Biffles were.”
The family volunteered in relief efforts after Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica last month and also helped local families in North Carolina following Hurricane Helene in 2024.
As Hudson said, “The Biffles flew hundreds of rescue missions. They were friends who lived their lives focused on helping others. Greg was a great NASCAR champion who thrilled millions of fans. But he was an extraordinary person as well, and will be remembered for his service to others as much as for his fearlessness on the track."
