ENCINO, CALIFORNIA: Rumors began swirling that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton might be headed for a split, but the singer has now responded, shutting down the speculation publicly.

The 'No Doubt' rocker shared a post-Thanksgiving selfie on her Instagram Story on Friday, November 28.

Stefani, 56, posted a selfie on her Instagram Stories showing Shelton, 49, planting a kiss on her cheek. The image, with Stefani smiling serenely in a red flannel shirt, carried no caption but spoke volumes amid speculation about a breakup.

Shelton appears less frequently on Stefani’s social media than he once did, with the last post featuring him shared on July 3 for their fourth wedding anniversary. The couple also hasn’t walked a red carpet together since The Grand Ole Opry’s OPRY 100 celebration in March.

The post came amid growing chatter about a possible breakup, particularly after the couple skipped the CMA Awards on November 19, despite Shelton’s nomination.

In response to the rumors, a representative for Shelton denied any truth to them, calling the story “completely made-up” and saying the speculation was “created solely for headlines and clicks.”

Fans had noticed that the couple had not been appearing publicly together, and their social media updates had dwindled—Stefani last posted about Shelton in July, while Shelton’s last post about her came in October.

Further fueling speculation was the couple’s March 2025 release of their duet "Hangin' On," a song about separation. Some fans interpreted the song as a veiled sign of trouble, but Shelton clarified to the press that the song did not reflect their real-life relationship.

Shelton’s spokesperson emphasized that the couple remains together and that rumors circulating online had no factual basis.

She has also highlighted the role of faith in her marriage, explaining in past interviews that having a “third party,” referring to God, has been key to their relationship.

She frequently shares heartfelt moments with Shelton. During her late November 2025 visit with Audacy Music, Stefani praised Shelton while discussing holiday home decorations and celebrating his career achievements. She said, “I love saying this cuz I love bragging for him, He was doing a party for his 30th number one radio hit. Do you know anyone that has that many? I don’t. Except for him.”
