WASHINGTON, DC: Recent reports indicate that former President Barack Obama has been having frequent conversations with White House Chief of Staff Jeff Zients.

The reports suggest that Obama's growing concerns that former President Donald Trump may secure victory in the 2024 election, potentially overshadowing current President Joe Biden, is prompting him to make the calls.

This news has sparked a significant backlash on social media, with many users directing criticism towards Obama.

Previously, both Obama and Biden faced criticism when Obama posted a message on social media congratulating Biden on his State of the Union speech. The speech garnered considerable attention, with viewership reaching 32.36 million, making it one of Biden's most widely watched addresses.

Barack Obama is regularly making calls to Joe Biden

Fox News reports that Obama has been in talks with White House Chief of Staff Jeff Zients and key members of Biden's campaign crew. They're hashing out election strategies and swapping advice from Obama's team.

A source close to Obama, who preferred to stay anonymous when speaking to the New York Times, spilled the beans that Obama has been sweating over Biden's chances in the election for a while now. The source even hinted that Obama is ready to go all out in backing Biden in the elections.

Another insider, familiar with the bond between Biden and Obama, spilled to Fox News that the duo have regular conversations "on a range of topics from 2024 to health care."

And word on the street is that Biden also has a hotline to former President Bill Clinton, with aides from both camps keeping the lines buzzing, as per Fox News.

According to USA Today, Obama's advisor Eric Schultz chimed in, saying, "President Obama will do all he can to support President Biden’s re-election. In fact, he looks forward to helping Democrats, up and down the ballot, make the case to voters this fall."

Obama's been urging Biden to step up his game and paint the upcoming election as a showdown with Trump.

In a meeting recently, Obama reportedly voiced concerns about the rocky road ahead for Biden's campaign, the challenge of winning over disgruntled voters, and the uphill battle of taking down Trump again, as per a Democrat in the know, as reported by Fox News.

A spokesperson for Obama's camp stressed the solidarity of Obama's crew in rallying behind Biden's re-election bid. They pointed to a recent bash thrown by the Obama Alumni Association, where the crowd was chanting "Fired up, ready to go" in full-throttle support of Biden.
