NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Ousted CNN host Don Lemon is hardly ready to let go of his past beef with Republican presidential contender Nikki Haley.

In a conversation with TMZ on Friday, December 29. Lemon voiced his opposition to the presidential candidacy of the former South Carolina Governor. He argued that the most "dangerous" choice for the US presidency is not Donald Trump but Haley.

"I would rather Donald Trump not to be the president of the United States again, but it's a devil, you know, in many ways. And I think that a Nikki Haley may be much more dangerous than a Donald Trump," he said.

Lemon, who was fired from CNN in April a little over two months after making sexist comments on-air about Haley, saying she is not "in her prime," was among the first to slam the White House hopeful after her denial to acknowledge slavery at the cause of Civil War during a New Hampshire townhall on December 27.

He criticized Haley, saying she is seeking "grace" for her "poor choice of words" after the intense backlash that he was denied previously.

Why does Don Lemon consider Nikki Haley dangerous?

Though he does not want Trump in the Oval Office in 2024, Lemon claimed that everyone is aware of where the former president "stands on issues" and has lived through his presidency.

However, he added, "No one knows what a Nikki Haley will do, especially when it comes to a woman's right to choose when it comes to racism in this country, and when it comes to supporting someone who inspired an insurrection in this country."

"I know that's going to be surprising for people to hear, but that is my god's honest truth," Lemon told TMZ.

Haley has refrained from commenting on Trump's legal battles, saying it would be "wasted energy."

Similarly, in the New Hampshire town hall, she mentioned that she is willing to forgive Trump of his legal cases if she enters the White House.

Despite being a rival candidate, criticisms were mounting recently against the former South Carolina Governor for not outrightly denying the potential of becoming the leading Republican presidential candidate VP if he wins in 2024.

Internet reacts to Don Lemon's remarks about Nikki Haley

After blasting the presidential contender online over the slavery controversy, Internet users are not showing a positive reaction to the former CNN host's comments on the dangers Haley might bring if elected.

Social media reactions indicate Lemon's opinions are unimportant and unnecessary.

One user remarked on Facebook, "Of course if anything has to do with his race he cries foul...has he forgotten why CNN fired him..."

Another user commented, "Don need to shut his mouth and go sit quietly in the corner."

"Wait! He still talking after they let him go," read a third reaction. While a fourth comment read, "Lol, whats he doing again??"

"Yeah, we all rely on Lemons opinion on who we will vote for in any election," another user mocked Lemon.

One user added, "Don Lemmon is more dangerous than the both of them."

Another user reacted on X, "Don Lemon has 0 room to say anything lol."
