LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tom Brady hinted that he is not entirely done with his NFL chapter amid his broadcasting career.

In a recent appearance on the 'DeepCuts' podcast with VicBlends, the football icon was asked if he would consider getting back on the field if a starting quarterback were to be sidelined with an injury this season.

"I’m not opposed to it,” said Brady.

Tom Brady opens up on his passion for football

Though Brady suggested the idea of making a comeback, he acknowledged an obstacle that would come his way through his rumored minority ownership stake in the Raiders.

“I don’t know if they’re going to let me if I become an owner of an NFL team,” shared Brady. “But I don’t know… I’m always going to be in good shape, always be able to throw the ball."

"So, to come in for a little bit, like MJ coming back, I don’t know if they’d let me, but I wouldn’t be opposed to it," he added.

The football quarterback is set to join Fox Sports No 1 and will be announcing the team alongside Kevin Burkhardt this season, according to the New York Post.

Former Post media columnist Andrew Marchand previously reported that Fox has signed a 10-year deal worth a total of $375 million with Brady.

Brady then reflected on his career trajectory as he said in a separate part of the podcast that his playing career is "behind" him.

He shared he is dedicated to his new teammates at Fox "who took a chance on me. How can I get up every day and do the best for them?"

Following his retirement from his NFL career spanning 23 seasons that included seven Super Bowl wins, the player took a gap year in the previous season.

Brady disclosed in 2023 that he nearly reversed his retirement before last season.

In December 2023, he took to Instagram to reveal his contemplation to unretire but a surprise retirement party dissuaded it.

“The only downside to 2023 was when I was about to unretire in May and my friends threw a surprise retirement party. Kind of forced my hand,” he wrote.
