Here's how Trump suggests CNN to interview Harris that'll expose her 'being totally inept' for presidency
SAVANNAH, GEORGIA: Former president Donald Trump is offering his thoughts on Vice President Kamala Harris in anticipation of her first interview since taking President Joe Biden's place atop the Democratic national ticket in 2024.
Trump, in a social media post on Thursday morning, August 29, called for CNN to conduct a "fair but tough interview" of Harris. If that happens, he argued, "it will expose her as being totally inept and ill-suited for the job of President."
Kamala Harris' media absence since succeeding Joe Biden
Kamala Harris has been riding high on a wave of vigor, excitement, and momentum in both fundraising and polls almost six weeks after replacing Joe Biden as their party's presidential contender.
However, up until now, she has avoided doing a press conference or sitting down for a significant interview.
Donald Trump's campaign slammed Kamala Harris' media absence
Kamala Harris' abstinence from press conferences or any interview has resulted in constant criticism from Donald Trump, Senator JD Vance of Ohio, the GOP running mate, their campaign, and other Republicans who are in alliance with them.
"She can't answer questions," Trump charged earlier this week as he took questions from reporters during a stop in northern Virginia." Why doesn't she do something like I'm doing right now?" Furthermore, he asserted that the vice president "can't talk. We can't have another dummy as a president."
Vance, on the campaign trail, has repeatedly argued that Harris "is running a basement campaign where she refuses to go before the free press and actually answer their questions."
Kamala Harris' campaign fires back
Kamala Harris' team has retaliated by accusing the GOP ticket of "ducking and dodging questions."
"Trump Is Stumped and Vance Dances: GOP Ticket Dodges and Lies Through Every Question from Reporters," read the title of an email Monday from the Harris campaign to reporters.
CNN's Dana Bash to interview Kamala Harris and Tim Walz
The vice president will speak at what is anticipated to be a sizable event in Savannah, a historic coastal city in southeastern Georgia, a critical battleground state, on Thursday afternoon.
Harris and her campaign companion, Walz, will also be interviewed by CNN's Dana Bash. The interview will air in prime time on CNN, according to reports, many hours later.
"The Vice President of the United States has mustered enough stamina after 40 days to finally sit down for a joint interview to finally have a conversation with reporters to lay out what we hope to be her vision for America," Trump campaign senior advisor Corey Lewandowski told reporters hours before the interview, per Fox News.
Internet calls Kamala Harris 'idiot'
Netizens berated the US Vice President and doubted CNN conducting a 'fair' interview with her.
One X user tweeted, "I’m sure they’re gonna have multiple takes and cuts cause she’s an idiot and mumbles dumb s**t."
Another added, "She’s interviewing with Dana Bash this will be a softball interview with CNN. If Kamala was a true leader she would have suggested Fox News for her interview."

"Fair? This interview will literally be tee ball and it's pre recorded just in case," remarked one, while someone else wrote, "This interview won't be a staged production, complete with a rehearsed script. Right?"
