MANHATTAN, NEW YORK CITY: Donald Trump has been exploring various avenues to raise funds, including selling sneakers, bibles, and other items, as he faces nearly half a billion dollars in civil verdicts but, Stephen Colbert on May 9 pointed out the strangest scheme yet.

"Trump sold NFTs with stirringly stupid images of him doing things like hanging out in space with a fire lion," Colbert remarked.

Stephen Colbert's quips come after it was reported that during an off-day from the former president's criminal trial related to the Stormy Daniels hush money case, Trump hosted a dinner for fans who had purchased at least 47 of these NFTs, each priced at $99.

"For weeks now Trump's been whining that his trials kept him from doing the important work of campaigning for president, "Colbert said, adding, "So naturally yesterday. on his day off from Court, he hosted a dinner at Mar-a-Lago for buyers of his nft trading cards".

"Aww, he had his own he had his own Widow Comic Con," he said mockingly.

“Some attendees also received physical cards with pieces of the suit and the tie that Trump was wearing when he was arrested in Georgia,” Colbert said.

He then added, "The suit was actually kinda easy to do because the suit was already in scraps. Because that’s just how Trump gets undressed.”

The host of then presented an impression of Trump being liberated from his "poly-blend prison" of a suit: "Oh God just cut me out release my flesh from this poly blend prison get the jaws of life..."

Reportedly, Axios Despite stating to reporters outside the courthouse on Tuesday that he should be actively campaigning for his presidential election bid, Mr. Trump then chose to fly back to Florida for his NFT dinner.

Axios reviewed a copy of the dinner invitation, which revealed that the evening was intended for supporters who had purchased a minimum of 47 Trump NFTs.

Additionally, his website announced during the sale of the NFT cards in April that individuals who bought 47 digital cards—equating to approximately $4,653—would receive a ticket to a gala dinner with the former president at his Mar-a-Lago residence.
