Hunter Biden trolled for hiring lawyer David Kolansky who helped Trump ally beat foreign agent charge
WASHINGTON, DC: A former defense lawyer for Senator Bob Menendez, who also secured the dismissal of an associate of Donald Trump from allegations of serving as an unregistered foreign agent, has been hired by Hunter Biden, according to the New York Post.
Notably, a court filing revealed on Tuesday, May 28, ahead of the June 3 trial start date, that David Kolansky will be joined in appearance by fellow Winston & Strawn associate Abbe Lowell, who has spearheaded the first son's defense against three felony firearms charges brought by special counsel David Weiss.

Two months after New Jersey Democrat Ted Menendez was charged on allegations of improperly operating on behalf of the Egyptian government, Kolansky left Menendez's defense team in November 2023.
Moreover, the lawyer also helped Hunter in 2023 when Delaware computer repair firm owner John Paul Mac Isaac brought a $1.5 million defamation lawsuit.
Notably, Mac Isaac filed a lawsuit against CNN, the Biden scion, and other media organizations because Hunter's alleged 'Laptop from Hell', which federal prosecutors used to gather crucial evidence in the gun case, was either stolen or compromised.
Furthermore, Kolansky's résumé also highlights his trial experience defending Matthew Grimes, an associate of Trump fundraiser Tom Barrack, against charges of operating illegally as a foreign agent for the United Arab Emirates during the former president's victorious 2016 campaign. Both men were found not guilty in November 2022.
The action was taken in response to reports that Hunter's 'sugar brother' Kevin Morris was 'completely tapped out' after giving the 54-year-old first son at least $4.9 million, mostly for tax repayment.
As part of a probation-only plea arrangement in June 2023, Hunter Biden first consented to engage in a diversion plan for weapons offenses and submit a guilty plea to tax crimes.
However, once prosecutor Leo Wise noted that the conditions of the plea deal did not include immunity from future prosecutions, including potential breaches of the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), his team shredded up the agreement in a Delaware federal court the following month.
