'I don't care': 'The View' host Whoopi Goldberg walks away from panel mid-segment amid NSFW discussion
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘The View’ hosts often discuss a range of hot topics on the daytime talk show, and most recently, it included the concept of a “foot fetish.” Alyssa Farah Griffin, Sara Haines, Joy Behar, and Sunny Hostin all chimed in on the matter.
However, co-host and moderator Whoopi Goldberg introduced the topic, and as the decision escalated amongst her other co-hosts, she decided to walk away from the set for a moment. When Goldberg returned, she explained her reason for walking away and the internet chimed in with their opinion on the same.
Whoopi Goldberg returns cue cards
‘The View’ co-host Goldberg introduced the topic to the panel in a comical fashion and said, “So here's some news I know you really want to hear. A guy wrote in to the Guardians' advice column because his wife always enjoyed it when he gave her a foot massage.”
She continued, “Until he admitted he had a foot fetish. Now, foot massages are off the table. He thinks it is a little weird that as soon as he revealed that the massages also gave him pleasure, his wife withdrew. Is the idea of a fetish a turnoff for you?”
Alyssa Farah Griffin was the first to weigh in, followed by Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, and Joy Behar who all discussed the situation and the idea of a fetish in detail.
Mid-segment, Goldberg got up from her chair and said, “Excuse me for a second, keep talking,” as she walked away from her co-hosts.
Griffin chuckled and said, “Whoopi has left the building.”
The camera continued to follow Goldberg and she was seen handing the cue cards in her hands to someone off-camera before she returned to the panel and sat down on her chair once again.
Whoopi Goldberg explains her walk-out
After Whoopi Goldberg sat back down on the chair, while the co-hosts continued to talk about the foot fetish, Goldberg simply stared at the camera, away from her co-hosts.
After the co-hosts were done discussing their own feet and what type of foot they have, Joy Behar finally asked Goldberg why she got up from the table.
Golberg responded, “Because I was so enamored by what you were saying, I felt I needed to take a breath so I could just get myself together so I could come back to the table. I just got up and walked away, got myself together.”
“This is what this conversation does to people, makes them get up and move. I don’t care, because my feet are huge and no one wants to touch them,” added Goldberg.
