Trump's team blasts Rosie O'Donnell as ‘irrelevant loser’ after she voices concern 'The View' may be axed

WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump’s spokesperson lashed out at comedian Rosie O’Donnell and 'The View' co-host Joy Behar, calling them “irrelevant losers” after O’Donnell claimed the long-running ABC talk show could be on the verge of cancellation.
In a fiery social media rant, O’Donnell accused the network of targeting the program for its criticism of Trump.

Trump's team hits back at Rosie O'Donnell for 'whining about a failing talk show'
Donald Trump’s representative, Taylor Rogers, mocked Joy Behar’s outspoken opposition to the president, suggesting she should join Rosie O’Donnell in Ireland. O’Donnell relocated to the country before Trump's second inauguration in January.

“Rosie O’Donnell and ‘Joyless’ Behar are irrelevant losers with too much time on their hands, whining about a failing talk show while everyday Americans are working hard,” Rogers said in a statement to Entertainment Weekly on Friday, August 8.

“Our country is better off with Rosie living abroad, and we can all hope ‘Joyless’ Behar will join her next!” she added, also slamming 'The View’s left-leaning stance and the mainstream media for alienating half the country’s voters.
Rosie O’Donnell claims ABC may quietly cancel ‘The View’
Rosie O’Donnell has expressed deep concern that ABC may be planning to quietly cancel 'The View' amid mounting political pressure. The former co-host, who was part of the daytime talk show from 2006 to 2007 and again from 2014 to 2015, shared her thoughts in a TikTok video posted Wednesday, August 6.
O’Donnell alleged that the network’s reported internal review of the show for “liberal bias” is not about maintaining fairness but rather a veiled move toward its cancellation.

“Code for…we’re gonna cancel it, we’re just trying to soften you up first,” she said, suggesting that ABC may be trying to prepare the public and staff for the decision without causing immediate backlash.
“Apparently, the truth is dangerous now,” O’Donnell added, framing the situation as part of a broader threat to free speech and open discourse. She called on women to raise their voices in the face of what she sees as censorship, urging them to become louder and more united to protect platforms where diverse opinions can still be heard.

O’Donnell’s remarks come as 'The View' remains on its annual summer break, with the show expected to return in September.
However, ABC has not made any official comment addressing her claims.
ABC concerned over guest imbalance
According to Hollywood insider Rob Shuter’s Substack, 'The View' booked 102 liberal guests and no conservatives in the latter half of Season 28, prompting ABC executives to investigate.
“This was never meant to be a one-sided political soapbox,” an insider told Shuter, adding that “top brass wants change, fast” to avoid an election-year scandal.

Behar, who frequently criticizes Trump, recently provoked a separate rebuke from Rogers, who labeled her “an irrelevant loser suffering from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome.”
He also pointed to the show’s ratings slump last year, saying Behar should “self-reflect” before the program risks being pulled from the air.
