‘I don’t draw pictures’: Trump vows to sue WSJ shortly over 'fake' Epstein birthday letter story

'The WSJ printed a fake letter, supposedly to Epstein. These are not my words, not the way I talk. Also, I don’t draw pictures,' said Donald Trump

WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump has threatened to sue The Wall Street Journal and its owner, Rupert Murdoch, after the paper published a bombshell report detailing a bawdy birthday card the President allegedly gave to Jeffrey Epstein.

The Journal reported that the letter, which Trump has slammed as fake, was part of a book of messages organized by Epstein’s former associate Ghislaine Maxwell for his 50th birthday.

WSJ report details Donald Trump’s alleged letter to Jeffrey Epstein

The bombshell report claimed that the letters, collected in a leather-bound album, were among the documents examined by Justice Department officials during their investigation into Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell years ago.

"It’s unclear if any of the pages are part of the Trump administration’s recent review,” the publication clarified.

The report then stated that the letter, signed by Donald Trump, wishes Epstein a happy birthday and tells him, “may every day be another wonderful secret.”

According to the paper, the letter also featured lines of typewritten text framed by a drawing of a naked woman, with Trump’s name signed below the woman’s waist.

Donald Trump denies drawing the image and slams the letter as ‘fake’

Shortly after the story broke, the Commander-in-Chief announced his plans to sue The Wall Street Journal, its parent company News Corp, and Rupert Murdoch over the publication of the bawdy letter.

“The Wall Street Journal printed a fake letter, supposedly to Epstein. These are not my words, not the way I talk. Also, I don’t draw pictures,” he wrote in a Truth Social post.

“I told Rupert Murdoch it was a Scam, that he shouldn’t print this Fake Story. But he did, and now I’m going to sue his a** off, and that of his third-rate newspaper. Thank you for your attention to this matter! DJT,” he continued.

A separate post on Trump’s Truth Social account also revealed that WSJ was warned of legal action, as the paper’s editor-in-chief, Emma Tucker, "was told directly by (White House press secretary) Karoline Leavitt, and by President Trump, that the letter was a fake."

“The Wall Street Journal, and Rupert Murdoch, personally, were warned directly by President Donald J Trump that the supposed letter they printed by President Trump to Epstein was a FAKE and, if they print it, they will be sued,” the post read.

“But Emma Tucker didn’t want to hear that. Instead, they are going with a false, malicious, and defamatory story anyway. President Trump will be suing The Wall Street Journal, News Corp, and Mr Murdoch shortly. The Press has to learn to be truthful, and not rely on sources that probably don’t even exist,” it continued.

Donald Trump asks Pam Bondi to release 'any and all' grand jury testimony about Jeffrey Epstein files

The president has been irked by the Jeffrey Epstein story since a leaked Justice Department memo confirmed that the infamous financier indeed killed himself and did not maintain a “client list” to blackmail the elite.

The leaked memo has sparked fierce MAGA backlash, with many calling for the firing of FBI Director Kash Patel and Attorney General Pam Bondi.

After slamming the letter published by WSJ, Trump called on Bondi to release “any and all” grand jury testimony about Epstein's crimes.

“Based on the ridiculous amount of publicity given to Jeffrey Epstein, I have asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to produce any and all pertinent Grand Jury testimony, subject to Court approval. This SCAM, perpetuated by the Democrats, should end, right now!” he wrote in another Truth Social post.
