'Quite obvious': Internet agrees as Tucker Carlson claims Barack Obama supports open convention to unseat Biden who 'can't win'

WASHINGTON, DC: Tucker Carlson has alleged that Barack Obama does not support President Joe Biden.

Biden faced Donald Trump on June 27 for the first presidential debate but his performance not just received backlash from his critics but from a few Democrats as well.

Bidens and Obama share 'hostile’ relationship

Carlson posted on X, “From an unusually good source: Obama’s tweet supporting Joe Biden was disingenuous. In private, Obama is telling people Biden can’t win, and he is therefore in favor of an open convention.”

The conservative political commentator continued further that “relations between the Obamas and the Bidens have never been warm. At times they’ve been hostile. But recently they’ve deteriorated further, mostly due to Jill Biden.

“In the hours and days after the debate, she kept her husband cloistered away from anyone who might convince him to drop out. Jill Biden is the driving force behind her husband’s reelection campaign, just as she was in 2020.”

“The next generation of potential Democratic candidates understands all this as an opportunity and they’re circling, particularly Gretchen Whitmer, who is promoting herself aggressively,” Carlson added on Monday, July 1.

Obama labeled Biden as ‘someone who has fought for ordinary folks’

As reported by CNBC, the 44th President had said after the debate, “Bad debate nights happen. Trust me, I know. But this election is still a choice between someone who has fought for ordinary folks his entire life and someone who only cares about himself.”

“Between someone who tells the truth; who knows right from wrong and will give it to the American people straight — and someone who lies through his teeth for his own benefit,” he stated.

Obama added, “Last night didn’t change that, and it’s why so much is at stake in November.”

Netizens accuse Obama of seeing ‘Biden as loyal patsy’

Meanwhile, people have reacted online after Carlson’s comment as an X user tweeted, “This confirms what we all knew. Joe Biden is not running this country. Jill Biden is power hungry and allowing Joe to continue despite his health. Obama is the leader of the Democrat party.”

Another user shared, “Accurate. Obama never saw Biden as anything more than a loyal patsy, who would do as he was told.”

“Jill Biden has proven time and again what a horrible wife and human she is. Joe is clearly gone and there’s no undoing his dementia. He’s a terrible man who deserves life in prison. But what Jill is doing to him is wrong. She deserves prison too. For elder abuse,” a third one stated.

A fourth user commented, “Not that anyone would be shocked. It’s been predicted for years Biden wasn’t their guy in 2024 But I’d be absolutely shocked if he resigned this week No way. Not happening. Frankly, he’s good for Trump. Wish he’d stay in the race. Hope he does.”

“I’ve heard Newsom and Witmer as possible replacements in the case of an unfortunate illness to POTUS and they 25th him. Doubt this though with the funding Biden-Kamala have and bet he loses in November to Trump. DISCLAIMER: I’m not even a huge Trump guy, but this seems quite obvious,” a fifth user added.
