WASHINGTON: The two election workers from Georgia, who recently prevailed in a $148 million defamation case against Rudy Giuliani, have filed a second complaint, alleging that Giuliani is still spreading false information about their involvement in the 2020 election.

Ruby Freeman and her daughter Wandrea "Shaye" Moss filed a complaint on Monday, December 18, 2023, asking the federal court in Washington, DC, for an injunction that would permanently prevent Giuliani from spreading lies about them that have already been found to be defamatory.

Rudy Giuliani's false speech and harassment

The lawsuit mentioned that Rudy Giuliani "has engaged in, and is engaging in, a continuing course of repetitive false speech and harassment ― specifically, repeating over and over the same lies that Plaintiffs engaged in election fraud during their service as election workers during the 2020 presidential election."

In their initial complaint from 2021, Freeman and Moss claimed that the former mayor of New York City had falsely accused them of election fraud to sway the votes counted at Atlanta's State Farm Arena. Giuliani was once the personal lawyer for former president Donald Trump, according to HuffPost.

Giuliani admitted lying about the two women in a July court filing. Due to the former attorney's refusal to provide important case records, a default judgment was rendered in August, finding him to be guilty of defamation.

A jury found Freeman and Moss guilty of Giuliani's falsehoods on Friday, December 15, awarding them $148 million in damages, $33 million for defamation, $40 million for mental anguish, and $75 million in punitive damages.

Giuliani "terrorized" the two ladies, according to their testimony in the court, and as a result, Freeman moved into a new house under a different name to avoid receiving threats and violent texts.

Another person wrote, "He just can’t be quiet. smh," while one commented, "Hahahahaha. Well deserved."

A user also said, "Since he can’t keep his big mouth shut, BANKRUPT HIM! Let him spend his sunset years in the Shady Pines Retirement Home for the indigent."
