ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, the Republican congresswoman from Georgia, has sparked a new controversy within the Republican Party's MAGA wing, according to a report from Mediaite.

This comes after she endorsed ex-Navy SEAL and aerospace millionaire, Tim Sheehy, over Representative Matt Rosendale, a Republican from Montana, in the GOP primary for the United States Senate seat from Montana.

Greene posted to X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, “I’m thrilled to endorse the next Senator from Montana, Tim Sheehy! Tim is a Navy SEAL and successful businessman, firefighter, rancher, but most important, he’s a husband and a father.”

“Tim Sheehy is the conservative political outsider we need in the US Senate to help drain the swamp, end the illegal invasion at the southern border, and put America First,” she added.

Greene was met with a wave of criticism from the far-right and MAGA base that supports Rosendale and opposes Sheehy, who is the preferred candidate of the National Republican Senate Committee led by Sen. Steve Daines (R-Mt).

Who are the suspects in the far-right intra-party infighting?

Among the group of critics was Caroline Wren, an advisor to Arizona Republican Kari Lake, who responded, “Couple weeks ago Kevin McCarthy saw Matt Rosendale in the Capitol and said ‘I’ll be spending a lot of capital in Montana to beat you'. I guess this confirms that McCarthy’s new weapon to try and beat America First conservatives is MTG. Freedom Caucus was right to kick her out.”

Greene retaliated with a series of posts attacking both her and Rosendale, claiming that neither is a true supporter of Donald Trump or the MAGA movement, at large.

Rep. Greene wrote in a lengthy tweet on X, “Caroline Wren is a paid political consultant working for Matt Rosendale just like she’s worked for Lindsay Graham and Mitt Romney. She loves the RINOs that line her pocket book.”

“I’m just fed up with back stabbers, liars, and grifters,” the Georgia Republican lawmaker remarked, adding, “Matt Rosendale can not be trusted. He turned his back on Pres Trump and only endorsed him recently because Rosendale is planning to run for Senate AGAIN after already losing last time in the Senate race against John Tester.”

The firebrand Republican continued, “I have the same conservative voting record as Matt Rosendale but he’s a grifter. He’s not loyal to the people who have supported him like Pres Trump. He walks around with a military style buzz cut just like John Tester to fool veterans but Rosendale and Tester never even served in the military, unlike Tim Sheehy who was a Navy Seal.”

Internet lapped up the Republican infighting

People on X slammed the Georgia Republican lawmaker as her own followers berated her for going against the grain.

One X user remarked, "Hell No!! MTG you have this one so wrong."

Another user said, "Read: Don’t vote for Tim Sheehy."

"Nope!!!! No thanks, MTG!!! MAGA is voting for @MattForMontana #NoToSheehy," another user wrote.

One X user asked, "What’s wrong with you?"

Another user remarked, "What a disgrace you are to MAGA. We want Rosendale."

A user tweeted, "It wasn’t enough, @mtgreenee, that you supported McCarthy? Now you’re supporting McConnell too? (Sheehy’s his guy and you know it.) You’re not MAGA! Something’s clearly in it for you. Always."
