According to Fox News, the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) made an announcement on Tuesday, April 30, confirming its plan to reclassify marijuana to a less severe category.

This move, which come during an election year, could potentially acknowledge the medical benefits of cannabis and its lower risk compared to more harmful drugs.

However, it's essential to note that this proposal does not mean an outright legalization of marijuana for recreational purposes, as clarified by Fox News.
