NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: President Joe Biden took to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to share that he engaged in a "candid conversation" with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on Tuesday, April 2.

While Biden claimed the discussion touched upon various topics of international concern, social media users appeared to be little optimistic about the outcome and took to trolling the incumbent in response to his post.

President Joe Biden's tweet

From the official X account of the POTUS, Biden wrote, "Today, I had a candid conversation with President Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China on a range of issues, including areas of cooperation and areas of difference."

He went on to highlight the points of discussion, stating, "I emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait and in the South China Sea, and raised concerns over the PRC’s support for Russia’s defense industrial base, their unfair trade policies, and economic and technological practices that harm American workers and families."

"I look forward to responsibly managing our relationship in the weeks and months ahead," concluded Biden.

Internet reacts to President Joe Biden's tweet

The President was heavily trolled over his post, as the following tweets demonstrate.

"Did you ask him for another $20 million dollars for your crackhead son?" asked a user.

"Did you and hunter discuss your business relations with the Chinese communist party ?" jibed another.

"President Xi Jinping of China is having his way with Joe Biden. Just like President Andrés Obrador of Mexico had his way with Joe Biden. Every international leader is having their way with him. When they see Joe, all they see is a weak man who’s lost his faculties. It’s sad," stated a third.

"Biden was discussing his salary and incentives," chided a fourth.

"You told him you’d make sure all the homeless are cleared out before the next time he pulls up," mocked a fifth user.

"President Xi Jinping isn't scared of you, doesn't respect you and is playing you... Just like Putin," slammed a sixth.

"I’m willing to bet if the conversation went how you wanted it to, you’d touch more on his responses as well," commented another.
