WASHINGTON, DC: On Friday, March 29, former President Donald Trump faced backlash after sharing a video on Truth Social featuring a hog-tied Joe Biden painted on the tailgate of a passing truck.

Per HuffPost, the Biden campaign team quickly denounced the video for implying that the Democratic POTUS in office ought to be physically harmed.

President Biden has characterized his likely 2024 presidential opponent as someone who freely invokes Nazi imagery in relation to immigrants, while also emphasizing in speeches that Trump's efforts to overturn his 2020 election loss culminated in an assault on the United States Capitol.

What did Joe Biden’s campaign team say about the video?

Michael Tyler, Biden campaign’s communications director released a statement, “Trump is regularly inciting political violence and it’s time people take him seriously — just ask the Capitol police officers who were attacked protecting our democracy on January 6.”

Steven Cheung, Trump campaign’s spokesperson, reacted Friday night, “That picture was on the back of a pickup truck that was traveling down the highway. Democrats and crazed lunatics have not only called for despicable violence against President Trump and his family, they are actually weaponizing the justice system against him.”

The United States Secret Service issued a statement claiming it "does not confirm or comment on matters of protective intelligence."

The 77-year-old MAGA strongman uploaded the video on Truth Social and going by his caption, it was shot on Thursday in Long Island, New York, while the former president was attending the funeral of a New York City police officer who was shot and killed during a traffic stop.

An image of a seemingly defenseless Joe Biden with his hands and feet bound was painted on the back of the truck in the video that has been shared, which depicts a passing truck adorned with the slogan 'Trump 2024' and flags proclaiming support for law enforcement.

On Tuesday, March 26, the shares of Trump Media & Technology Group Corp. began trading on the stock market, marking a significant increase in the real estate tycoon’s wealth.

Donald Trump, who is eyeing a run for the presidency, has been depicting a doomsday-like scenario for the country, should his Democratic opponent Joe Biden win a second term in the upcoming November general election.

Speaking about the effects of offshoring on the U.S. auto industry, Trump declared at a rally in Ohio earlier this month, “If I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the whole — that’s going to be the least of it. It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country.”

Trump has made remarks akin to those of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, about immigrants "poisoning the blood of our country."

He once referred to his enemies as "vermin," which his critics contend reflects his dictatorial beliefs.

During a recent rally, Trump even went so far as to characterize Biden's approach to managing the border as “a conspiracy to overthrow the United States of America.”

Last year, before being indicted in New York for hush money paid on his behalf during his 2016 campaign, Trump shared a photo on social media of himself brandishing a baseball bat next to District Attorney Alvin Bragg's picture.

In a 2018 speech, Joe Biden criticized Trump's obscene remarks about women and expressed his revulsion by implying a willingness to physically fight the then-president.

"If we were in high school, I'd take him behind the gym and beat the hell out of him," Biden stated at the time, adding that any man who disregarded women was "usually the fattest, ugliest SOB in the room."
